| Many consider them as the most beautiful women on the silver screen. Sure there were/are many other gorgeous filmgodesses but a bondgirl had a sort of mystic status. As speculations are going on which girl will be the next "Bondie" (and in fact who'll be the next Bond, but that's another topic) I was wondering are there Bondgirl-lovers in this house and if so, who's your favourite. My Oscar goes to Jill St. John with Famke Janssens as runner-up. ("Hail" Berry is not included here but you can vote for here anyway, anytime, anywhere) http://home.zonnet.nl/w.de.bruin/007-the%20Girls.htm |

| Based on the choices given it's still hard to pick just one. Johan, I guess I'd take Jane Seymour and Claudine Auger is my runner-up. And umm, even though I'm a leg man I love Lana's tits :P

| If you can bend the rules a bit and consider CASINO ROYALE as a true Bond film, then the German-Israeli Daliah Lavi (The Detainer) would be numero uno. CASINO ROYALE may be the film with the most beautiful women ever: Andress, Jackie Bissett, Alejandra Bastedo (LA FEE' SANGUINAIRE, "The Champions"), Joanna Pettet, Barbara Bouchet, Gabriella Licudi and hundreds of gorgeous European actresses and models as extras.

| Boodi, you never cease to amaze me. 8) When you mentioned the "Champions" are you talking about that early '70s TV show? I loved that show. Casino Royalle might be worth renting again. I'll take particular note of the babes :P :D

| By the way Boodi, I'm curious. We seem to share some of the same taste in women :) I always loved the look of Rachel Ward, especially in the film Against All Odds. Does she make your list as well?

| Yes, Paul, Alejandra Bastedo starred in that great show along with Stuart Damon (General Hospital). Look for Bastedo in CR in the Deborah Kerr section of CR, she's one of the French spies masquerading as one of M's daughters. Had the pleasure of meeting Rachel Ward at the end of her modeling career (she was with the Zoli agency, the same agency as a friend of mine, Benee' Akaka). In person, she was a little "harder"-looking back then (1980) than you might have imagined (cute bod, though!). She was then starting her grade-Z horror film career (NIGHT SCHOOL, etc.). I don't think she has aged particularly well.

| Hey Boodi. I totally agree about Rachel not aging well. :( CR is in my Blockbuster queue.

| And speaking of Bond, Encore, a cable network here in the states is running all day all night bond movies. I don't think Casino Royale made the cut. Anyway as I type I'm watching Thunderball. James Bond, a man's man. 8) Perhaps that's why so many of us liked his character. Interesting thing I noticed for the first time. King Erison Band was performing at a club in the movie. I wonder if it's the same artist who did songs such as Have A Nice Day.

| Yes, Paul, that's King "Manhattan Love Song" Errisson performing "Wings Of A Dove" in THUNDERBALL.

| Thanks Boodi. Amazing coincidence. By the way, when I was a boy around the time Wings Of A Dove came out, Jamaica's Blues Busters had a very popular version of that song.

The DVD did explain a lot of things. For example part of my trouble with it was it's disjointedness. The movie had 4 directors, each doing there own slice of the movie. Also, Peter Sellers quit part way through the movie. Interesting too that Orson Wells hated Sellers while Sellers was there. About the babes though, the casino was filmed using the Playboy Mansion in London with the bunnies serving as extras. No wonder there were so many hunnies there 8) I too share your sentiments about the notable actresses you mentioned. I especially liked Joanna Pettet and Barbara Bouchet. Oh, BTW. The DVD also showed an original 1956 TV show of Casino Royale. Thank god (or pitchforks and pointed ears :D ) for Sean Connery
