Gay members in Alabama?

Ok, I've got a little free time on my hands and I was reading dailykos, a blog for political junkies like me. Anyway one of the topics was out magazine's (http://66.161.86.126/detail.asp?id=8607&t=voices) article on stone aged Alabama and their red state attitude towards gays. Some of the people at dailykos mentioned how they still did things like "beating up niggers and fags" on the weekend! :o
Knowing we have many gays and at least one lesbian here, I wondered how many of you have been to that fine state or are familiar with anything about 'bama?

Yeah, the "RED" states can secede as far as I'm concerned. My theory is if ya got totally BIBLE BELT HARDCORE and closed all the strip joints, massage parlors, porno rental stores, even "the Hooters" restaurants in the RED states--the "Moral Values" folks would erupt in protest. :P

They wanta claim they love the LORD and FAMILY VALUES but on Saturday night they love their strippers and porn too. Just try to tell me the folks on Jerry Springer don't live in RED states. :P :P :P

Yeah, I heard Desperate Housewives is popular down in red state country. Isn't that the show where Nicolette Sheridan stripped for that strapping football playing black man, Terrell Owens. You just know the boys in 'bama wanted to rip off there sheets when there wives caught a taste of that action on TV. :lol:
