Really Bad Irene Cara Movie

Last week I watched a really awful movie called "Killing 'Em Softly" that starred Irene Cara and George Segal.

This had to be one of those direct to video movies as I can't imagine this would have played in a theater.

It was made in the early 80's (she wore leg warmers) and Irene got to sing the title song and a couple of others.

Anybody else see this piece of junk?

No, but sure would love to see it. Apart from her debut blockbuster I only gaught Irene on celluloid in CERTAIN FURY, in which she raised moderate hell with Tatum O'Neal, as an escaped convict. And then of course there was that certain Broadway play... :o

I don't doubt it. I think I partly watched a couple of movies this actress was in. All were awful and her acting stunk. I heard she had a super ego after Sparkle. She's not bad looking but I've seen betta at my local McDonald's.

Well, how about Irene's acting in her "Why Me?" and "The Dream (Hold On To The Dream)" videos? if Irene has an ego problem, it could be her mother's influence. I heard, from an authority I trust, that her mother abused her and demanded she upstage the rest of the Short Circus singing group when she was on "
The Electric Company" 1971-1972.
