Ok one thing First things first The BEst player throughout history can never be a forward since his responsibilty is never deciding. It must be a playmaker a creator. Maradona didn't need anyone else to turn a game around. Pele needed good teammates and the fact that the faschist political pigs of Brazil Made a law banning all Brazilian players from professional football due to PEle is just further evidence that he never went to ITaly, Spain or England to proove himself. ALl he ever has from his CV is the Santos club and the Circus Called the Metrostars. Anyways that is not important. And if you ask a Brazilian about the best World Cup Team ever they will say the 82 edition and not the 70 edition or the 58 edition. And Socrates there you have a real genious of a player..... anyway I can agree to the fact that Pele is the best Forward /Striker in History in stiff competion from Fenerec Puskas Gerd Muller Just Fontaine Mario Kempes Zico

| And congratulations for the Victory We Celebrated the Surrvival of beautiful Football with ofcourse a game of football on that Sunny Sunday Afternoon at a beautiful Grass Pitch it was fun and tantalizing and Congratulations Brazil for having the best player of the Tournament Ronaldinho he was the perfect number 10 (altough he had to play with 11, due to the fact that Skelletor had reserved the other shirt) in the first half Brazil would of been up two if Ronaldo would of been as distinct as a top world striker should be sort of like Crespo or schevsenko. First he got a through ball from Ronaldinho that went between to German defenders Then Ronaldinho lobbed the ball over the whole German Defense to set Ronaldo free with the GK. If you didn't see Ronladinho Ricardo Mata watch your recorded version of the game at least the first half and you will see what I am talking about Then There was Denilson that guy is so amusing to watch ofcourse once he got the ball he didn't care about passing it just about tricking the whole defense but on a day like this it was all good!

| ok So who in your opinion was the best player of this tournament In my country the poll stands between Ronaldo Ronaldinho Roberto Carlos personally I think Ronlaldinho he is the only one of the Whole Brazilian team I have seen play live and the things he did at on the pitch were amazing I must say that I really like him as a football player....... One player I never really apprecited is Rivaldo who reminds me of the Heman Nemeny Skelletor |

My choice is Ronaldo, he decided a lot of matches for Brazil in this world cup, he was the biggest scorer in a world cup since 74 so, I think he deserves the place. Ronaldinho is a great player, but sometimes he scapes from the game. I think that in 2006 he will be better, more experienced then, maybe.... Peace. P.S. Roberto Carlos? No way. I prefer the singer.

| Even though it hurts like hell for me to say this  , I would also go along with Ronaldihno as the best player - fantastic talent. But to honest, the award should go to the entire Brazilian attack!! I loved the way they seemed to go forward with such fluidity!! Though I was very pleased with the development of Rio Ferdinand in the English defence. And I felt genuinely sorry for Oliver "King" Kahn (as I saw in B"ild"). It's a tough job being stuck between the goalposts - just ask David Seaman. I thought Kahn was a brilliant goalie until THAT slip up ....

| Is it just me or is there a particular arrogance to Kahn that rubs me the wrong way? Even his post-game comments seemed to be overly self-serving and self-pitying. He's a brilliant goalkeeper, but he needs to learn something about sportmanship. Brasileiros and the Brasil team acknowledged the skill of Zidane in '98 with no problem. Anyway, I am ecstatic with the Penta for Brasil! Let's hope FIFA cleans up its act when it comes to officiating.....that was the WORST part of the cup.

| Hey Boodi, Blax, what happens is that you're Brazilians, that is, you're different from the rest of the world. I mean you take all more easily, always smile... I think you really enjoy life a bit more than the rest of us. It's normal for a losing team to feel angry or sad (I saw the latter in Kahn). Just remember our Diego crying openly in the podium of Italy '90! And jazz_pilgrim, don't worry about where will Ronaldo be in 2038: by then there will probably be a "Ronaldizinho" making problems in the enemy's area... Did you guys saw the numbers of this topic? 18 pages and more than 1200 views! I think Marky is getting a bit worried. And another thing we forgot completely: WHERE'S MAARTEN? |

he has got a bit too much of the third riach mentality in him Kahn was the first to proclaim him the best GKp in the world he is quite arrogant indeed this is not the first time. And just as BArthez he is famous for Blunders. He has made far worst then the one in the Final, but I guess that is part of his mentality I grew up with the ethics the humbleness is the key to ones success So I have trouble understanding people who like the Mohammed Ali approach ALtough I must say I prefer it to people who overdo the whole humble thing |
