Default Who'll be the new Bond?

As the production of the new Bond movie is nearing and will be released in 2005, rumors are coming in.

British press this weekend announced that they are pretty sure Dougray Scott will be the successor of Pierce Brosnan.

The actor starred in the movie "Enigma".

I personnally think that Brosnan could easily do a new one and that Hugh Jackman would be a great Bond.

But it's all up to the Broccoli family.

Oh, those Ozalots (group devoted to TBFO) have it on their forum that it will NOT be Hugh. He'd be good though.

I liked Pierce Bronson, but he was no Sean Connery. Anyone ever see Trainspotting, and the one guy loves him, and keeps quoting him. It was funny. Well the movie wasn't funny.

We need another James Bond flick. I saw the thread on here about Halle Berry. I thought she looked great in that cool swimsuit as a Bond girl.

I think Connery (Sir Sean nowadays) will always be the one and only Bond. The others were great too but I especially liked Brosnan because he combined the toughness of Connery and the tongue-in-cheek of Roger Moore.

All the other names that were mentioned until now: McGregor, Farell, Bana: I'm sorry NOOOO!

Those guys simply don't have the maturity for the Bond-character. Jackman could play it but I do hope that Pierce will make another one.

And I certainly hope they are not going to turn Bond in a sort of Boysband-Secret-Agent to catch up with the younger audience.

And please, let him drive the Aston but don't make the car disappear like they did in the last one. That was a bridge too far. Action, cars, gadgets, women but no hocus-pocus please.

This is turning into a real soap.

The new Bond-movie is postponed till 2006. At this moment they still don't have a director and what's more important, a James Bond. Rumours now are that Pierce B is back on the wishlist.

They have a script though!

Well, who ever is chosen hopefully will demand of the producers that they go back to 'real' stunts and none of this CGI bullshit like the pathetic espape in a surfboard across an iceberg field, this has got to be one of the worse scene ever for a Bond movie, and yet, if you listen to the CGI effect Rep describe the scene and her work (DVD extras) she thinks it is a masterpiece  yeah, sure

Oh yeah hahah it looked so fake! They even gave like 10 minutes to talk about the effect on the DVD!

And they better have a good title song and movie music like John Barry, Bill Conti, and Marvin Hamslich!

Voyage :P

Yes indeed-we have a new candidate for the Bond-part.

Ladies and gentlemen, Eminem wants to be the new 007.

Don't think they'll take him serious though.

Talking about Eminem, his last video is hilarious...I know you people hate Eminem, but i find this video so hilarious, the way he makes fun of Pee Wee Herman and Michael Jackson...donīt get me wrong,i love the "true" Michael Jackson, not this "creature" claiming to be Michael Jackson...for me Michael Jackson died in 1990...

OMG, and his ghost is walking around :o Studio, you are scaring a lot of people now! :D :D :D

Just saw Eminem's "AAAAAAAAArgh" new video and the Pee-Wee shout is hilarious. The MJ-thing is a little bit over the top IMO. He has made better songs and videos :(

Default aw gee!

When I saw the title of this thread, I thought it was probably about Bond the splendid leggy lady modern classical group who covered "Fly Robin Fly" on their latest album. Even my pushing-80 mom likes them. (Yeah I know this section is supposed to be non music, but that is not strictly adhered to, judging by the Ashlee Simpson thread, the Mamma Mia thread that Bernie contributed to, etc..) The title didn't say this was about JAMES Bond. I don't care about "007". Someone at my company keeps referring to a "Pierce Bronson." I wonder if there's a Charles Brosnan.

Studio,

As we all know, too much visiting da doctors! He went to the extreme and I think he's crossed a line at a point where his face can't be saved anymore. I hope he's a living warning to many people so that they'll be more carefull with all that plastic surgery.

So sad :( and be honest, when you look at the covers you've mentioned: nothing was wrong with that guy, he was looking great, so why change so drastic?

Well the news is finally confirmed: Brosnan will not return as 007.

The choice now is between Ewan McGregor and Colin Farell, it seems.

My tip: Seriously, only one guy can be a true replacement for Sir Connery and that's Robbie Williams. He's got the looks, the charms, the guts to do it. He allready portrayed Bond in one of his early videoclips and the effect was great!
