| :D This is even keeping with the disco theme kind of. Did anyone have the pleasure of seeing The Boy From Oz? Today was the last show. I was a lucky little lady, and was treated to a truly phenominal, and historic night on Broadway. Just wondered if anyone had got to see or hear about it. Man, there were some BIG TIME OBSESSED fans up in NYC. My mom, and brother included. The show was about Peter Allen who was an extrordinary performer back in the day. I'm so dang old I had got to see him many times. Hugh Jackman put in a performance of a lifetime. The REAL Peter was a Studio 54 nightly clubber, and spouse of Liza. Just wanted to share in the spirit of disco. That Hugh Jackman is HOT!!!!!!! He had middle aged women, young women, BEAUTIFUL young guys, and old dudes all clamoring for him. |

| The Boy From Oz is a broadway musical based on the life of the Late Peter Allen. Hugh Jackman won the Tony this year for his performance. It has been reported that a lot of people, among them Ricky Martin, were approached to take over the role but no one took the offer. Sorry I missed it. Art

| Yep. Art is right. I didn't know Ricky Martin was up for the part. Hmmmm. They may have all passed it up because Peter was VERY FLAMBOYANT. I think some actorsmight be afraid that type of role would hurt their careers. Hugh Jackman was so awesome that they ended the show with him. Many Broadway shows continue on after the original star did their run, but HE was the show. He only had three minutes that he wasn't on stage. It was also very grueling work for him. He isn't a trained dancer, boy he fooled everyone. I mean the guy is so talented. Plus he does all these ad-libs, and engages the audience like picking people out, and then trying to say hit on an obviously straight, uptight guy. It is hillarious. Just as Art said. It is worth looking up Peter Allen. He is the "Rio" guy, but he wrote so many songs that you would recognize. Instance Olivia Newton John "I Honestly Love You". The joke in the play was that before that song he was just an outted performer, and after it he was an outted performer with a fabulous beach house. I'm so thankful my parents MADE me go to see him. They did that to us kids with Sinatra, Bennett, and tons of Broadway if we starved for a few weeks. LOL Peter was discovered by Judy Garland. Before that he was just an Aussie lad playing in piano bars, and stuff. Alot of his life was very sad, and he died of complications from AIDS. I openly wept through half of the show. They're supposed to put the Broadway show on DVD. I'll have to fill you in. I'm glad I could share this with you. Thanks for the interest. ACE |

| Just in: Hugh Jackman also joined the Kabbalah-movement. Looks that after the Buddhism-trend, the stars have found another religion! |
