I just recently saw Collateral. I didn't think it was gonna be bad, but it turned out better than i thought it would be. I saw it once at a screening because I work at Universal and then i saw it again. I also bought the soundtrack... it's got some good music on it.... sorry though- no disco :-?

I didn't have very high hopes for "I, Robot" but it turned out to be rather entertaining actually. Will Smith stayed away from his annoying Fresh Prince routine and that was definetely a good thing.

ONG-BAK from Thailand is getting a theatrical realese in some lucky territories. This film is hailed as the return to the norm for the martial arts genre, meaning the emphasis is on actual physical combat skills rather than wires and Hollywood-style computer created effects that are ruining current Hong Kong productions. While the story sags in places and lead does certainly not live up to the "new Bruce Lee" hype being totally wooden and characterless, he sure can FIGHT. Forget Jet Lee, good as he was in Kiss of the Dragon. He is old news. This new guy, whatever he is called, is too amazing. His kicks and punches look excruciating real, how in hell did they fake the bonecrunching abuse? Backs bend into unnatural shapes, jaws seem to shatter, arms look like they snap into all directiuons. You want total no frills action mayhem, skip Will or Tom and watch ONG-BAK instead.
