And if there are people on this forum who are pro-Bush, so be it. That's also freedom of speech. But George Dubya scares me a lot when I hear his views on certain things. :( |

How about this new Report from ABC News circulating today’s papers. http://abcnews.go.com/wire/Entertain...40801_728.html “ Filmmaker Michael Moore's Bush-basing documentary "Fahrenheit 9/11" has apparently upset more than Republicans. The Pantagraph newspaper in Bloomington said Friday it sent a letter to Moore and the film's distributor, Lions Gate Entertainment Corp., asking for an apology for using what it said was a doctored front page in his movie.” He’s Soooo BUSTED!!!!!!

I remember reading something about this on yesterday's local newspaper. Well, Moore has a "fact check" section on his own website (www.michaelmoore.com) and he also comments on negative reviews and accusations. However, it seems there's still no new reporting since last week. I guess he's thinking his next move. There's also a fact sheet confirming a great deal of what's being said in the movie. Anyway, even if this thing is serious we're talking about ONE fact between many, on the most fact-check-sought-after movie of the year. Of course MM can be wrong. Linda can be wrong. They can even be misguiding the public (I don't believe in saints on either side). But it seems to me that many of today's feelings against Bush were not generated by what these people say or do. They come from what Bush himself did during his presidential term, be it robbed or not robbed. That is, if people were happy with George's government nobody would be talking about this movie and this topic would have died weeks ago. So, let's wait and see what Mike says this time.

Thanks, Mixmachine. You're right, there is a difference of wording in the articles. So, now I'm fucked, left to question the validity of both sources and actually starting to care about neither.

Following newsitems concerning an interview with the new CIA-boss Porter Goss which is not included in the "Fahrenheit 9/11" documentary it seems that Michael Moore has launched a new controversy towards the government. I wonder if those continuous hits at the Bush-camp are still effective. Or isn't their a risk that people will get bored by Moore when election-time is there? Is he gaining results or will he be forgotten in november and will people turn against him by that time since his style, tactics and person are also under attack? Media and their influences are unpredictable.
