bring back memories of disco Halloween parties you used to attend? I gave up trick or treating way back in my early 40s, but we used to have big fun at these events....especially when dancers would gyrate so vigorously that parts of their costumes would dislodge....

Halloween is pretty new in Europe. We never celebrated it until a few years ago marketeers began to push it. Now it's very popular, a lot of events, pumpkins, etc. Only the trick or threat thang isn't happening here.

As for parties, I was born on Halloween so....

trick or treating hasn't been all that popular here in the U.S. for quite some time now, but in the disco daze we used it as just another excuse to party. I DO remember at one point, though, when people used to give away items other than candy.....some distributed cassettes, records and other items I can't quite recall....
