All of this is very informative but what is Viva magazine? Never heard of. I knew Playgirl of course -even if in France it was only available in English, as an "import" - and by the way always wondered if women were actually the target of this magazine and if they bought it.

Besides their "main interest", those 70's Playgirl have some pages I would like to read now, the pages where they reviewed records. When I bought my second hand copy of Maxine Nightingale's 1979 album, I found in the sleeve an article from Playgirl reviewing it. Interesting review but most of all, why this particular album to illustrate October 1979?
