I wasn't a "buyer" .... no money !! .... but luckily many people insisted on sharing !! One more story So my family and I are visiting Grandma & Grandpa in Long Beach and my brother and I were always ones to venture off seeking adventure . Well up the street , it was trash day and what's this .... next to this one can right on the sidewalk , was a huge heap of well-kept Playboy magazines . Years worth... an adolescent's mother lode of a dream come true!! Now, there was no way we were just going to leave those to be tossed or grabbed by someone else ......but what to do ?? Well, we simply decided we would load them in the back of the family station wagon and somehow hide them until we got them safely home ! And that's what we did ...it took more than one trip to secretly load them all !! How we pulled off hiding them ??? I don't know, with our suitcases ?? My Dad never busted us about them ... and so they spent years hidden in the back of my closet only to be brought out on special occasions. Ya he was pretty cool guy. ______________________________ afterthought : As with all faded memories ......the more one reflects the more it sort of pieces more clearly together. Our family car was a Chevy Impala Station Wagon ....the type with the bench seat that unfolded to face backwards. In that well it could be folded flat into was also the seat's leg room which also served as additional space to stash things . We didn't have a full load of people that trip so we weren't using the seat , nor did we have the travel cage for our pet monkey (yes we had a pet monkey Now whether my pops actually found them in there ..... but I do know they resided in my closet for many years with nary a word . ( I guess there was hope seen there of lil' remicks' more natural urges! *****

| Sheesh...I mention one song in this thread and it unleashes a flurry of good, ol' horny past references to porn-finding! (Good thing I didn't mention the Boystown Gang's lengthy Cruisin' The Streets!) I'd never trade those exciting, hand-trembling, secretive exploits of porn hunting from my youth...ahh the hidden pleasures with some of those treasures! I'll never forget that time when my oldest sister (R.I.P.

| My mom (adoptive) was old enough to be my grandmother, so I think she was a bit bewildered why I kept "borrowing" her hardback of The Godfather (1969). Let's just say the equisitely-detailed description of Sonny Corleone's pkg (and its subsequent physical effect on me) made me realize that not all boys are meant to grow up and marry girls. Thanks Mario Puzo !!! |
