for those who may know Leslie Cheung as a movie star ..."farewell my concubine" "happy together" john woo's "a better tommorow" etc...or as a singer { his true profession...and great as one! } he jumped to his death from the 24th floor of the mandarin hotel in hong kong today. he left a suicide note...which has yet to be made public. .....a very sad day for his many fans.............

An iconic actor gone - real bad news. What's the world coming to these days, as even the former just about coolest person on earth Chow Yun-Fat has seen it fit to degrade himself in that forthcoming - or is it already on in America? - stupid teen kung-fu monk movie.

i am not sure which chow yun fat movie u mean...but if u really want to see degrading himself you should see / hear him in his music video from 1988 or so...besides singing pretty poorly about all the young pretty girls swimming in a swimming pool and grinning like a fool he also dances.....as they say .."oy veyyyyy"

Hey, you took me by surprise with Leslie Cheung... Wow. I remember very well the "Happy together" movie by Wong Kar-Wai. In fact, it was filmed in Argentina and I happened to be on the set one night, saw Wong and Tony Leung in action, pretty interesting... But Cheung was in a day off, so... Anyway it was a great movie, in fact much better at picturing Buenos Aires' spirit than "The Tango lesson" or "Evita"...
Anyway, I feel sad for this guy, he was a pretty good actor.
