| I take back the comment I made about Matthew from "Survivor" after watching last night's reunion. It's amazing what make-up and a new hairstyle can do. |

| Matthew was ROBBED!!!! I still can't believe only 1 survivor judge voted for him!!!! What the hell did I miss???? Matthew was an honorable, non-back-stabbing, hard-working guy. He threw competitons cause he didn't want to keep beating the others and HE'D EAT ANYTHING!!!! Jenna was a bitchy whiner who sun-bathed while others (Matthew) provided food and wood for the fire. So, she wins?????!!!!!! 6 votes to his 1????!!!!!!! They should be ashamed of themselves.

| Is anyone else gettin' kinda bored by "American Idol"??? Don't get me wrong, I'm still watching, but I really don't care which one wins. Last night all 3 had good and bad moments. They had to sing 3 songs apiece. The first song was randomly picked from a slip of paper in a glass bowl. The second was chosen by the judges, the third was their own personal pick. Kimberly was fine on "Band Of Gold", so-so on "Anyone Who Had a Heart" and good on "Inseperable." Clay was dealt a raw deal by being forced to sing a truncated version of the folky Don McLean "Vincent"--(he forgot to sing a line; it was totally not his style); then the judges chose "Mack The Knife"--(to expose him as a Vegas-kinda-guy???) and finally he chose his mom's fave song "Unchained Melody" and did the Bobby Hatfield (Righteous Brothers) arrangement including the falsetto part. He killed on this last one. Ruben got "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" as his first selection--sounded raspy and somewhat winded, but OK; then the judges picked Charlie Chaplin's "Smile"--(he was OK again); lastly he chose Peabo Bryson's "If Ever You're in My Arms Again" as his final song--this was more in his range. Still, this was not his night. Now I'm wondering if my prediction that he will win is, uh... "standing on shakey ground." I wonder if any of these 3 really deserve to win? As I said, I'm gettin' kinda tired of seein' them. And you?

| I too found Ruben raspy and forced. I thought it was interesting that not one of the judges commented on the quality of his voice last night. :-? Do I smell favoritism?? |

| Missed it this week but I did catch Simon on two entertainment shows. When asked who will win he said, "Clay". When asked who HE thought should win he said, "Reuben". Oh, and his comment when asked about Kimberly, "She doesn't deserve to win." My lover saw two minutes of Access Hollywood, called Simon a "vicious queen" and walked out the room. Nuff said. |

| Well, I don't really care who wins the competition. I still think that Ruben will be the next "American Idol", but it hardly matters to me. Maybe it's a good thing the show will be over soon. I'm guessing that the finale will be held in the studio where the show is filmed. I haven't heard anything that indicates otherwise. I'm surprised because last year's finale, which was held at the Kodak Theatre, was an instant sellout and had media coverage that rivaled the Oscars. |

| I just found out that the finale will be held at the Universal Ampitheatre. Any word on ticket information? As you can tell, I haven't heard shit. |

| Well Kimberly is gone but not forgotten. I know there is someone out there that can hook her up with a contract. I had a feeling that she would be next because everyone is betting on Reuben and Clay. I fell asleep the last ten minutes of AI so I had to get the news from my sister. Last week, I saw Josh on the E channel and they asked him who does he think will win? He responded "I think Reuben WILL win but I feel that Clay SHOULD win". *DISCO DELIGHT* |

| On Howard Stern's show today, porn star Tabitha Stevens said Simon/Simone Cowell was pursuing her and provided phone messages as proof. What happened to the "Fiancee"--OR Miss Ryan, for that matter? Simon & A Porn Star (without a DICK???) Quelle surprise!!!

| AND....regarding last night's show.... Tamyra Gray's performance made me realize how lackluster and charisma-challenged this year's contestants are. I thought Tamyra was ROBBED last year. Luckily, her careeer seems to be doing just fine, WITHOUT winning. The process of elimination is fun...but once they've got it down to two....it's sorta tiresome. 3 shows next week to streeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeech it out for maximum RATINGS. I'll be watching... with minimal interest.

| Mark, that's why you tape the show and use the fast forward button! By the way, don't forget all the AI promotions and interviews that will be all over the tube next week - probably the equivalent of 5 shows! :P Also, aren't you wondering if Justin Guarini was P.O.ed that Clay sang "Unchained" the night before? Especially since, IMHO, Clay's version was much better than Justin's lackluster performance. Those two performances really demonstrated to me the difference in quality between the singers of this season versus last season. As for Tamyra, I am sooooooo sick of hearing "Somewhere Over The Rainbow". However, her outfit and makeup were fab! |

| Well, L.C. I DO realize that "Over The Rainbow" is overdone (Kimberly used it as her launching pad this year also)...BUT, I was interested in WATCHING Tamyra. She was cooking on all burners. She reminded me of Regina Belle or Mikki Howard or that last crop of interesting female vocalists--before they all became Hip-Hop Ho's. (I know you are not too fond of Miss Belle, but I think she did excellent work for a few years). And yes, wasn't it Ironic, doncha think, that Justin's next "SINGLE" ("Unchained Melody") was given a more compelling performance the previous evening? One-upsmanship reigns!!!! I bet Justin's handlers were farklempt. How odd to intro him to the music-buying public with a cover version of a song soooooooooo over-exposed. Usually the cover is, at best, a follow-up single. N-Sync had cover versions on their CDs but they weren't released as singles. Well, Justin still belongs in a bus & truck revival of "Pippin", if ya ask me. "Gotta find my corner of the skyyyyyyyyy"

| Yeah, I think that Justin's first single should have been an original song, and that his performance last night was lackluster at best. I can't stand the original version, so you can imagine how I would feel about a remake (though I agree that Clay's version was way better then Justin's). One thing I can bet is that the people who have been/are contestants on "American Idol" (including Kelly Clarkson) will only be popular as long as the show is. They will forever be connected with the show. Once people will lose interest in the show, the careers of the contestants will be over. By the way, who is going to see that movie "From Justin To Kelly" (or whatever it's called) when it comes out? I'm not. |
