Arrow R.I.P. Heath Ledger (1979-2008)

The sad news just came in that the young star and Academy Award nominee Heath Ledger has passed away. He was only 28.

The very promising actor starred in "Brokeback Mountain" (Oscar Nomination) and is playing the part of The Joker in the forthcoming Batman movie.

Actor Heath Ledger dies at 28 - CNN.com

i couldnt believe this when i heard of it, for me this is the biggest loss in hollywood since maybe james dean, a truly awesome actor but i admire him more for the roles he has chosen. brokeback mountain blew me away and i have now seen all his films, nobody for a long time has got me interseted in movies.
but the really sad thing ive noticed today when ive spoken to people about this is the way theyve looked at me like 'heath who'? and ive realised theres probibly so many people that have never even seen one of his films, thats their loss

It is strange how he did have that similar brooding quality of James Dean. When 'brokeback' was out everyone I knew thought Jake thingy was the sexier of the two but I thought Heath was easily sexier, as well as a fabulous actor. What a loss.
