| My favorite Christmas song is the version of "Jingle Bells" with the barking dogs. I've liked it since I was a kid. I think it's incredibly funny. |

| I chose 'enjoy an occasional song' because I'm assuming you mean "traditional" Christmas music, of which I'm fond of very few. I still enjoy The Temptations version of "Rudolph..." and the Salsoul albums. I especially like some of the jazz Christmas albums that have come out and the first two "A Very Special Christmas" charity CD's. I think the last Christmas album I bought by a commercial artist was Alexander O'Neal, "My Gift to You." He has a version Sleigh Ride on there that just SLAYS! I guess my favorite traditional album would be the Harry Simeone Chorale, "Little Drummer Boy". I've had it since I was a kid and all the grooves are gone :( . Still has nice memories :) .

| I don't mind some of the Christmas rock/disco songs from bands like Slade, Salsoul Orchestra, Band Aid, Boney M etc... as they pretty good. But I cannot stand the old fashion Christmas carols, not even Bing Crosby's "White Christmas" boooooring (yaaaawn). A few months ago I picked up a 12" disco single of "Hallelujah" and it's like 14.5 minutes of them singing "Haaaaaaaalelujah, haaaaaaaalelujah, halelujah halelujah halelujah", fair crack of the whip    ! And it's not even copyrighted. I also like some of the Australian Christmas parodies and one funny Christmas parody I downloaded on MP3 was "Frosty The Yobbo" by Bucko & Champs which is a parody of "Frosty The Snow Man". There was also another Aussie "Frosty" parody called "Frogy The Old Man", haven't heard of it but I bet it's piss funny  . There's also a traditional Aussie version of "The First Day Of Christmas My True Love Sent To Me" which they send Aussie native animals such as Kookaburras, Platypuses, Kangaroos, Emus etc... And Rolf Harris with the wobble board sings "Six White Boomers" which is white kangaroos instead of reindeers. Now in my last topic I was talking about that singing fish. Well Kill Frog also did a Christmas parody of the singing fish  . This is where the singing fish sings stuff like "Let It Snow" and snow balls get chucked at him and the fish says "Hey I use to be cool", then there was the "Nutcracker Suite" and the fish goes "Hey there's no words to this song" and while the music was playing these elves come along and bite the fish's k-nackers off  . I wonder if they've made any singing fish that sings Christmas carols to piss people off?

| I usually hate this "genre", but I really like a Donny Hathaway song called "This Christmas".

| I like Christmas songs very much! It puts you in that holly jolly spirit. As a child, I've always liked "The Little Drummer Boy", "Heat Meiser/Freeze Meiser" and "Let It Snow". "The 12 Days of Christmas" is one of those songs that groups of people try to sing and fuck it up. It can be at work, school or with the family, someone always SCREW UP the song. My two Xmas disco faves are sung by the Salsoul Orchestra and Tom Moulton's wife. (forgot the titles) :-? :P *DISCO DELIGHT* |
