| I gotta be briefer on this one, but... 1) Chris Rock 2) David Letterman 3) Eric Cartman on "South Park" (My fave is the "Chickenpox" episode with the boys sleepover at Kenny's house, Cartman's disgust with the frozen waffles & no side dishes and old Frida infecting the family appliances with herpes) 4) Martin Short(as himself on talk shows and as Jiminy Glick) 5) "Waiting For Guffman" (Chris Guest's hilarious sendup of community theater) 6) David & Amy Sedaris (David's the sardonic writer and his sister Amy, an actress, who is my new fave talk show guest). 7) "Sex And The City" (Carrie Bradshaw is the TV character I'd most like to hang with). 9) Steve Martin & Billy Crystal hosting the Oscars. 10). Will Ferrell & Cheri Oteri on SNL (esp. the early Cheerleaders skits & and the morning chat show takeoff.) How about you? _________________ Make My Feet Wanna Dance! | Here's a quick roundup... 1: South Park. The fifth season has been rather weak so far, but still, I think this is the funniest show ever. My favourite episodes are Chinpoko Mon, Cartman Joins NAMBLA, Do The Handicapped Go To Hell?/Probably, and Flashbacks. The movie is the most hilarious film I've ever seen. And I still spend much of my lunch hour (and all my spare change) playing the pinball game. 2: Anything involving Kevin Smith. Okay, "Mall Rats" was rather weak, but everything else he's done is amazing. "Clerks - The Animated Series" was cancelled after only 2 episodes, which is a shame because it was brilliant. It's out on VHS and DVD, and I highly recommend it. Unlike a lot of comedy, this gets more enjoyable with repeated viewings. 3: Reading in the news about various squeaky-clean boy-band members getting busted for drug possession or assault. |

| Boodi, I'm amazed you mentioned Chris Tucker! I can't stand him. Grating as fingernails on a blackboard. I hated him since the first time I saw his overdone Little Richard pastiche in "The Fifth Element" and it continued through "Rush Hour". Some friends say he's funny in "Fridays" but I can't subject myself to anymore of him. Ah well, different strokes for different folks.

| I like: Tommy Davidson - He reminds me of many of my friends from Connecticut Bernie Mac - Budussy is now in my vocabulary. If you don't know what that is, rent "Friday." Sex And The City - My kinda gals. Were talkin' good eatin' The Man Show - Yea, I like being a man (well, a straight man anyway) Jamie Foxx - He's down! Cedric The Entertainer

| Oops, forgot. I liked the Ambiguosly Gay Duo from SNL. Hey Boodi, do detect a little rivalry between Argentina and Brazil? |

| Paul, no matter how hard things are in Brasil, bad news about Argentina makes the Brasilian sky bluer, the sea cooler, the music sweeter, the women more beautiful....go ahead and cry for Argentina, because it's not going to help 'em!

| Hey Boodi. I didn't think Brazilian women could get any more beautiful than they are now!

| I'm amazed that the black "Chris" comic being mentioned is Tucker not Rock. Am I the only one who thinks Chris Rock is the most hysterically funny comic working today? His HBO specials are classics! His HBO series was filled with gut-busting skits, especially when paired with the equally snarky Wanda Sykes. Chris Tucker grates on my nerves--Chris Rock tells the "truth" with such a puckish comic energy and expert timing that, for my money, he's the best comic working today. How about you? P.S. Delightful: I love Adele Givens too. Did ya ever see the sketches she did with Tracey Ullman as the airport security bag checkers? There's one where Tracey (in controversial blackface makeup) claims to have seen Lena Horne's passport ("She 95 years old!") and Adele's reactions are priceless. We watched that skit over and over again at the office and even called the casting office to find out who Adele was, since she received no billing on that one. Ever seen it? _________________ Make My Feet Wanna Dance! Markydefad [ This Message was edited by: markydefad on 2002-01-09 15:00 ] |

| Hey Marky. I guess I'd have to agree about Chris Rock being todays top AA funnyman. Adelle cracks me up when she jokes about her lips being made for sucking you know what

| Marky, I've never seen or heard of that skit with Adele and Tracy until now. I used to watch The Tracey Ullmann Show back in the late 80s-early 90s every sunday night. Tracey's show is what introduced "The Simpsons" which I never cared for. *DISCO DELIGHT* |

| Hey Delightful, The Tracey Ullman sketches I'm referring to were on her later HBO series (mid-late 1990's). She created a character who was African-American and worked at an airport checking bags for security. Adele played her co-worker in some of the sketches. The one about how black women age with references to Diana Ross, Diahann Carroll, & Lena Horne was my favorite.
