This year it wasn't about singing or talent. It was about Antonella Barbarella who showed us she could do more with her mouth than sing and a Bollywood hula dancer with crazy hair.

Leave it to American Idol to have a songwriting contest ... . require the contestants to each sing the chosen song ... then have the judges blast it by saying how horrific a song choice it was for them . .......... This while having the invited composers sitting there in the audience.

That show is more messed up than Paula Abdul trying to stay upright amongst her jumping schnauzers .

Apolo and Julianne's Paso Doble was excellent. That clinched it for me as well. Sanjaya should appear on that show.

I enjoy it when Bruno and Len bicker back and forth.

* Congrats to Jordin. I'm glad a young one won . That's where the future of music is. Put it this way ... if she were to wait to be Melinda's age to release her debut album ...she'd have to wait until the year 2019!!! If this were 1974 ....she'd miss the whole disco era !!
