Celebrities - soul and disco fans??

Do any of you know celebrities eg sports stars, actors, politicians etc who are Seventies soul, disco and funk music addicts like we all are?? I am not talking about stars who would turn up a certain night club venue - just to be seen. But genuine bona fide disco nuts!!!

The only one I ever know for sure was the ex-snooker World Champion Steve Davis who I know for sure is a massive Seventies soul and disco music fan, as he has sometimes deputized for other soul Djs on UK radio - and he has a massive record collection ... I guess he is not well known outside of the UK ...

Interesting topic Jazz. I know Lenny Henry is fanatical about our music as he used to do a brilliant soul/funk/disco show on Radio 1 in the early 80's. I also know that the late great Kenny Everett was a disco nut but he was originally a DJ so he doesnt count really does he? Victoria Wood was quoted in an interview as being a fan of Gloria Gaynor & Donna Summer! You dont think she's a member of that Donna fan club that mucked up the Top 500 do you?!

If there's one thing to be said in defence of Tom Cruise it could be the fact that he likes disco a lot - the actual music itself, not just the back rooms.
