Hey Jeff,

This must be the week your boss is outta town...huh?

Well the Travolta name is fair game; another Scientologist with an arranged marriage, I guess. Hey, at least the kids look like old Johnny. The tabloids ran an article a few months ago about John grabbing some guys privates in the steamroom at some spa...some things never change.

I'd like to throw another name into the mix...Matthew McConaughey. Now I don't know for sure, but a good friend of mine who met the twosome on a business level said that Matty and his "best friend" Gus were too hot not to be gay. They were college roomies and now Gus is Matty's manager and business partner. If you think about it, has Matty ever really had a girlfriend or been linked to women...other than co-stars like Sandra Bullock? That doesn't count.

And when Matty was arrested for disturbing the peace with his loud music and nude bongo playing...were any females found on the premises? No just Ben's brother Casey Affleck. Hmmm...anyone else know the truth about this one?

Oh and since I mentioned Sandra Bullock...how much of a loser is that Tate Donovan guy? He dumped Sandy and broke her heart just before she became a big star, then dated & dumped Jennifer Aniston sometime during the "Friends" series, only to have her go on to marry America's dreamboat Brad Pitt. I wonder what Tate's been up to lately? Self-mutilation???

Hmmm...I'm just askin!!!!

I can't understand a celebrity going into a store/boutique and stealing like Winona Ryder! It's bad enough that celebs are overpaid and spoiled, then she has the nerve to say that she was trying it out to purchase later? Over $3,000.00 worth of clothing! Gimme a break!!

Halle Berry is going to play the new "Bond" girl.

Can you guys explain to me why you DON'T WANT Puff Daddy on YOUR TEAM?

Well, HustleBaby, my personal opinion of Puff Dopey is that he's all attitude with no talent to back it up and has made a career mostly by ripping off other people's music. And let's not forget the tacky, self-promoting clothing line. Oh--and gun violence too! Yeah, there's a public figure I want people to point to and say, "He's gay, you know." Likewise Michael Jackson; when people suggest that he's gay, I shudder, "Gawd, I hope not!" Who knows: He might be a pedophile, but he seems so psychologically screwed up that he might not function sexually at all. A tragic waste of talent in any case.

But here's another (much more appealing) name to consider: Does anyone else remember years ago when Matt LeBlanc sued the Spartacus gay guide for using his photo on the cover (how I wish I still had that copy!) just as Friends was becoming a hit? And I recall later rumors that he had a wealthy older gentleman friend. Now HE is someone I wouldn't mind having on our team: cute, funny, rich

As Marky would say, "Hey, I'm just asking...!"

I remember ripping into Puff Diddly once on the old board. I think we were talkin' about "samplers" aka THIEVES; Puffy has got to be the most overrated, untalented "artist" I can think of. He's the perfect example of failing upward.

That he has somehow managed to PROMOTE himself as a modern "renaissance man" is one of the saddest commentaries of modern pop culture. He's a recording artist, he's a writer, he's a producer, he's a record label owner,he's a fashion designer, he's a magazine publisher, he's an actor, he's a raconteur, he's the host with the most, he's a gangsta thug, he's the great gatsby...he's a self-promotin', talentless hack. How the hell people actually bought into his hype, I will never understand. At least, his records are selling much less than before...but now since "Monster's Ball", I have a feeling we're gonna have to live therough his feeble attempts to become Wesley Snipes. I smell a UPN sitcom in his future...if there still is a UPN a few years down the pike.

Jeff and Marky,

If I didn't know any better, I would swear that the both of you are making the gay community to be "squeaky clean and flawless"!

So what if Puffy happens to be gay. There are a lot of gay people who are f***** up, no talent, vicious, violent(carry guns/knives), pedophiles, with horrible attitudes just like a lot of straight people.

If you were looking at his trial, it was proven that Shine was the shooter AND NOT Puffy. I've seen WORST clothing on the runways year after year by both gay & straight designers so(how in the HELL did these talentless tacky clothes designers keep their place in the fashion business WHO KNOWS!) Puffy is not designing for the "stick up the a** bourgeoisie crowd. His fashions is generally an example of GHETTO FABULOUS which he has stated. He knew that many people were going to be negative about his clothing line and he don't care!

So what if Michael Jackson is gay! He may be screwed up but he has TALENT!! If he didn't, you would not see every bubblegum, talentless

performer of today RIPPING OFF his style and dance moves! Woody Allen is a freak but he is still accepted and I'm not happy that he is on "our team" but that's life!

Madonna- OH MY GOODNESS!!!! She is one "turn of the stomach" chick that us straight people DO NOT like on our team! I don't know what the hell she is (she's bisexual one day, gay the next day then straight again). It seems like she has used this sexuality madness to sky rocket her career. The nastier and filthier she got, the richer she became. And it gets worse! She has hit a all-time low of TACKINESS when she put an ad out for a baby's father and had the NERVE to ask the catholic church to honor and bless her and the baby. It's not the baby's fault that her momma is trash. And just because she gives birth, everyone is placing her on a freaking pedestal as if she is Mary Immaculate Conception! She CANNOT sing and she isn't a great dancer like she think she is and most of all OVERRATED but she's on our team and that's life!

Finally, the fact that both of you wished that Puffy stay on the straight side because

you feel that he is a rip-off, talentless and overrated is not only confusing but ludicrous! So he's not up to your standards; therefore, he's not worthy or good enough to be gay? As if he is going to tarnish the gay community. Nonsense! Just when I thought I've heard it all!

Whoa! Relax, HustleBaby, relax! I don't think Marky or I are trying to claim that every gay person is the epitome of talent, class, intelligence, morality, etc. Gay people can be just as admirable or just as despicable as straight people. But you have to agree that even in 2002 and despite lovable Will and Jack and Ellen and Elton, gay people still have something of an image problem among many (a majority?) of Americans. So the last thing we need is for the public to be able to point to a no-talent thug as an example of us. And as for Puffee being found not guilty in the club shooting, just remember that O.J. was found not guilty too.

But you make a lot of valid points regarding Madonna, and it's apparent you feel very strongly about some of them. Personally, I don't feel much about her at all anymore. She was entertaining in her Material Girl period, and "Vogue" is still one of the hottest videos ever, but you're right: she can't sing that well and dances only slightly better. But still trying to be naughty and shocking at age 43 just looks kinda pathetic. I don't understand why gay guys still pee their pants over her either.

Uh-oh... who did I piss off now? Madonna fans? Bed wetters? Lighten up, people.

Delightful,

OH,OH...we got "Trouble", right here at Discomusic...with a capital P and that rhymes with D and that stands for (Puff Daddy)

First off, I didn't mean to imply in any way that all gay people are saints or anything to that effect. Obviously , there are good & bad people of all shapes & sizes, creeds & colors, and sexual preferences. Further, I SERIOUSLY doubt that Puffy is gay or bi or anything other than hetero. I'm not a fan of his music. If you are, so be it. Obviously, someone likes his stuff. But, it's not a gay or straight thing, we were just goofin' on him. Take it with a grain of salt. I'm not trying to malign black people in any shape or way. I think we've always gotten along in the past, I did not mean to imply anything that would be offensive. I was just being a smart ass. If I offended, I apologize. Can't we all just get along?

We're definitely not making anyone out to be "squeaky clean", at least I hope not. Goddess Boodikka wants to trash 'em all, straight, gay, bi, Black, White, Latino.....none shall escape me! As for Puff Diddley, or Puff Dudley-Do-Nothing or whatever his name is this week, he is no worse or better than any of the contemporary "acts" who produce such drivel today: J Ho, Destiny's Weave, Sluttany Spears, Jah Fools or whatever. Let ol' Sean John Sample sip Kristal with his closet diesel buddy Martha Stewart and fade into the sunset....thank God he's not a LESBIAN

Afterthought:

The "our team" term came from an episode of "Seinfeld" wherein Elaine dates a bi-sexual man, who in the end goes back to dating guys. Jerry uses the sports analogy to explain the situation to Elaine.

Among the folks I would prefer weren't on "my team", off the top of my head, let's see, oh...J Edgar Hoover, Roy Cohn, John Wayne Gacy, Richard Simmons, & Log Cabin Republicans, but, unfortunately, they are (or were).

Considering the hatred for gays perpetrated by rappers, I'm very doubtful if Mr. Combs could possibly have risin to his "Bad Boy" position if there were anything un-straight about his sexual behavior. He may have tranny-fever a'la' Eddie Murphy (hey, watch Jerry Springer--they always claim they couldn't tell!).

But Puffy GAY(?), I don't think so. Now, Eminem with his bizarre and unbrideled fixation for the star he idolizes in his "Stan" song ( WE COULDA BEEN TOGETHER")--is another story.

Next!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't forget Jeffrey Dahmer and Ronnie Kray.

I knew you couldn't resist, Marky! But I have to confess that I think Miss Simmons is amusing, especially when he visits David Letterman's show.

I was going to add Dahmer to Mark's list too, Graham, but I don't know who Ronnie Kray is...?

And not that anyone asked, but I think Mark's comment about "a bisexual guy who goes back to dating guys" illustrates my belief that "bisexual" is just a nicer word for confused/closeted gay guy....

Oops! Can open, worms everywhere! More soon, undoubtedly....

One half of the Kray twins, who were notorious UK gangsters/drug barons in the 60s. The way some people describe them, you'd think they're practically folk heroes.

I know this is a clichÈ, but it's true: two of my best friends are bisexual. I've known them a long, long time, and believe me, they're not confused or closeted.
