Donde esta mi gente latinaaaa!!!! All this crap about Gloria Trevi is pathetic. I'm sick of it. What is really funny is watching lil' princess Cristian Castro(or is it Christian?), going to the Grammy's with his newfound "girlfriend". He had to find a blonde one to match with his "natural" golden hair. Honey wake up! You are neither blonde or straight.

You want to see something funny, go see the covers of Cristian's CDs. I think he designs them himself (he did with his video clips).

I don't like any of this "latino targeted" crap, but for me Ricky is the best of them all by far. Has no pretensions and is pretty funny onstage. I just remembered that in 1993 a friend of mine went to see Mr. Martin's in concert and the guy (then a young hearttrob) did a pretty decent version of Prince's "Sexy motherfucker". How about that?

And now that I dropped the subject, how can it be that in eleven pages nobody mentioned The Artist Who Sometime Had a Name, Then Changed It to Switch Labels and Now is Divorced and Sells Nothing and Calls Himself Just the Same as Before?

Ricky Martin is awesome. I had the chance to go to one of his concerts in San Jose, California a couple of years ago. Filled with energy and professionalism.

It is so unfortunate that we Latinos are still under-represented in American society. Here in California we exceed by far in number but still considered "minority". Even the term minority is peyorative. It makes me feel like I'm a minor, or less than someone else.

Guille: it's sad picture that you do about latinos in USA, but I think it's just a matter of time.

Being a journalist I'd like to know if there are newspapers or magazines in Spanish targeted to your community. Say, something like a latino "Vibe" or similar?

There are mainstream magazines, (People, Cosmopolitan, Reader's Digest, etc.) that are coming in Spanish for quite some time. There's also magazines made and intended for Latinos (QV, Cristina, Latina, et.). Some are bilingual and some are totally in Spanish.

As for the sad picture than I'm telling about, is true. Hispanics will be the "majority" in 2025, and still we'll be held as "minority" because we are lacking of a fair participation in politics, economics, arts, etc. It is time for Hispanics to realize that better level of education will lead to better choices and oppportunities in life. And also have the ruling "majority" understand that nobody is less than no one, and everybody must have equal rights.

Thanks for the information, Guille. Hope it gets better for you all.

I'm still wondering if anyone has something juicy to tell about Mr. Prince Nelson. I will start with gossip I read around 1993 (I think it was on Details): that the guy doesn't sleep at all (any white lines there, I presume?).

Then, a couple of years ago I read on another magazine that Larry Graham being in his group had had a "good" influence on him, and that The Prince of Pop was much quieter now.

Another question on the back of my mind: what about that rumour that the female voice on "Orgasm" (at the end of 1993'2 "Come" album) belonged to no other than "Academy Award (TM) winner"Kim Basinger?

"SAY CHEESE"

If you're going out to any gay nightspots in LA, you are advised to bring your camera. That's the gist of my 2 items today.

First, from the current US with Britney & Justin on the cover, an article titled "Barrymore's Raunchy Girls' Night Out", wherein a recent evening out for Drew with the GRRRRLS is chronicled (AS IF Boodi hadn't already informed US, months ago!)

"It doesn't look like DREW BARRYMORE misses ex-husband TOM GREEN --or any other man, for that matter. On March 16, Barrymore, 27, was in full party mode at the LA nightspot AD, making out with two unidentified women in full view of fellow clubgoers for more than an hour. "Drew kept switching between the two--first a brunette, then a blonde, then the brunette, then the blonde again, " says one witness. Barrymore, wearing a white tank top and white cargo pants, her hair in a ponytail--then "got on the dancefloor, where the two women kept pulling Drew's tank top up to kiss her (braless) boobs and stomach," says the spy. "Drew was definitely the ringleader," the source adds, "making out with them. Then all three were kissing one another's breasts." The spectacle continued until a patron snapped a photo, which sent Barrymore bolting. A spokesman for Barrymore didn't coment on her client's evening. "

The second item comes from this week's Star, titled "Hobbit Hunk In Gay Bar Battle":

"In a small village named Boys Town, there was a Hobbit named Frodo Baggins. One night, Frodo went on an epic quest--for a picture of him in a gay bar.

No, it's not the next installment of the Lord of the Rings. Really happened. The diminuitive ELIJAH WOOD, who plays Frodo in the saga, recently chased down a fan who snapped a picture of him and a male pal in a gay West Hollywood bar.

That night, Wood, 21, and his friend first visited Here, a disco in "Boys Town", a part of the city that caters to homosexuals. "When Elijah came in, all eyes were on him," a nightclub source said. One patron even begged him to dance. Soon Wood and his friend lifted camp and headed to the Abbey bar, home of more sophisticated men. They were left alone until the digital camera's flash fired.

"Elijah ran after the guy," my source said. "He was screaming. When he finally caught him, Elijah insisted that the picture be destroyed."

"Erase it from the camera, or I'll smash it," Wood said.

"The fan looked scared," a witness said. "He didn't realize it would be such a big deal to snap Elijah Wood in a gay bar."

Hmmm...I thought Elijah looked a little uncomfortable sitting next to Sir Ian McKellan's young boytoy in all those Oscar shots. Maybe they should have seated Elijah next to Tiny Tom Cruise or Kevin Spacey (probably too old for Kevie, though).

Some Music gossip:

Anyone seen the R. KELLY video in which the hiphop crooner allegedly is seen having oral sex and engaging in "water sports" with an underage (14 year-old) girl? Howard Stern was supposedly watching this video the other day. Pop Bitch says the most shocking thing about the vid is that in the background the Backstreet Boys are singing "Everybody...Backstreet's Back"!!!! There goes R.Kelly's street cred, along with any chances of more duets with the likes of Celine Dion ("I'm Your Angel") or churchy/gospelly collaborations with Kirk Franklin. Maybe he can cover "It's Raining Men", now that we know about his wet & wild kinks. Hmmm?

Has anyone besides me noticed that PINK & her stylist seem to be channelling the fashion look of '70's disco diva Alicia (I Love The Nightlife") Bridges? The platinum swept back hairdo and the Lesbian chic vibe are screaming Alicia's first LP cover!

This happened a while ago, but it still amuses me. BRITNEY SPEARS, in an interview, hocking her last CD, told an interviewer that she chose to cover "I Love Rock 'N' Roll" because she's a big fan of Pat Benatar! (Kids, it was that other '80's rock queen Joan Jett who recorded that little ditty).

Oh, and the PET SHOP BOYS signed with U.S. independent label Sanctuary Records, with a new album "Release" due April 23 in the U.S. and a tour to follow.

DRIBS & DRABS:

Ever wondered what happened to former cutie and Oscar nominee for "Amadeus" Tom Hulce? I first noticed Tom in "Animal House" and enjoyed him in a bunch of films over the ensuing years. In the last few years, he's turned to producing and directing and currently has a play at LA's Tiffany Theatre, titled "Talking Heads" featuring the likes of Annette Bening, Tyne Daly & Swoosie Kurtz. A colleague went backstage to congratulate a client on her performance and she said say "hello" to their producer, Tom Hulce. My friend looked over the room and could not identify anyone as Tom---until a large Orson Welles type figure extended his hand. Uh, yes, Tom has sorta let himself go. I was told he is HUGE.

Hugh Jackman, that Aussie cutie is apparently attached to play gay performer Peter Allen, Liza's former hubby, in a Broadway bound musical about Allen's life. What is it with these Aussie Studs who can sing & dance? Russell Crowe played the Tim Curry role in Rocky Horror Picture Show! In America, it seems only sissyboys play the leads in Broadway musicals.

Keanu ("whoooa Dude") Reeves is remaking "Billy Jack". I can't wait to see him in that black hat, talking Valley Dude.

Oh, and someone is bringing "Knight Rider" to the screen. Don't say I didn't warn ya.

The LA production of "The Vagina Monologues" is getting pretty desperate to cast the 3 roles that change weekly. In NYC, prestigious actresses played the roles, but here in LA, they are so far down the actress foodchain, that the likes of Susan Anton, Judy Tenuta, Ellen Cleghorne, Kim Coles and annoying newsgal/TV Gossip Gillian Barberie are headlining. Personally, I'm waiting for the "Facts of Life" reunion edition with Mindy Cohn , Kim Fields & Lisa Whelchel. Or maybe the Joyce DeWitt, Lauren Tewes, & Charlene Tilton collaboration.(Honestly, I think they have ALL done it already!) Or what about the Matinee version with Zelda Rubinstein & The Olsen Twins? Hey, they've got vaginas, don't they? (Tiny & tight, I would guess).

Oh, and lastly, an item told to my by a producer friend. They were casting an animated version of "Cinderella" and approached 70-year old Oscar/Emmy/Grammy/Tony winner Rita Moreno to do a voice--the Wicked Witch or the Stepmother or the Fairy Godmother. Take your pick. The star apparently was insulted and said she wanted to play "Cinderella" or nothing. Needless, to say, it was nothing. I told my friend he should have told Rita they'd already cast 80ish gravel-voiced Elaine Stritch ("Here's to the Ladies who Lunch") as Cinderella!

Good stuff, Prince Marky! I see the Drewster has finally lost her mind (well, I guess being married to Tom Gangrene would make anybody go nuts). Supposedly she's been Sappho-Dancing elsewhere in WeHo, like GirlBar and Palm. Ex-GoGo Belinda Carlisle is a GirlBar denizen.....but she just goes there for the music, right?

Coming soon: Elijah Woods in LORD OF THE COCK RINGS......

R. Kelly's next video: "I Believe I Can Pee."

Keanu Reeves as Billy Jack? KEANU REEVES AS BILLY JACK? "Dude....I know...Hap..Ki...Do". Tom Laughlin was so quietly intense in the original, he appeared close to a stroke with each line reading. Reeves will be so quietly laid back and boring that he will appear ready for a pine box with each line reading.

And lastly, Jillian Barberie in THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES? Fox Sports has a legion of hottie bimbos in their roster, but Barberie is the bimbiest! I wouldn't kick her out of bed, but her awful voice and goofy smile would wear thin real quick. She can be annoying doing her "weather report" during Fox's NFL broadcasts, but to sit in a theater watching her for two hours? You could use her voice to make a spy confess! I'm pretty sure that's her voice in those awful "Appleby's" commercials.

Ok, I was gonna shut up for a few days after yesterday's posting marathon (yeah, right). But two of my new colleagues both told me a tale that I thought was worth repeating. Now these are old tales harkening back to the '80's--but interesting, nonetheless.

The first is from a colleague's experience working at Morgan's, the NYC hotel owned by the Studio 54 dudes. In approx. 1986, he served room service to a guest who just happened to be Cher. As he entered the diva's suite, she told him to move the food into the bedroom area. In the bed, was a man, shirtless with the covers pulled up to his waist. On TV, "Silkwood" was just beginning. The guy says to Cher, "I can't believe you're gonna make me watch this". Cher snaps in her squawky voice, "That's an Academy Award nominated performance".

The guy: Tiny Tom Cruise (Remember, they "dated"). Anyway, this was a first hand sighting witnessed by a person I work with--and he ain't making it up.

The next one occurred, when we were discussing the Babs Walters interview with Tiny Tom after the Oscars--and Babs asked the question about Nicole's miscarriage and whether that had any bearing on the divorce papers being filed one month later. I mentioned to her that the staff of my doctor's office had told me that Tom & Nicole were visiting a fertility specialist at Century City hospital early in their marriage and the rumor was that "Tom was shooting blanks". Hence, when Nicole got pregnant, it had to be from some other guy, right? Grounds for divorce, right?

Anyway, I mentioned that these were the same folks who told me that the Richard Gere gerbil story was true, so maybe it should be taken with a grain of salt--and she floored me with "But my mother works at Cedars--and the Richard Gere Gerbil story IS TRUE"!!!!!

Now, how a Bhuddist who hangs with the Dalai Lama for kicks would be declawing rodents and inserting them into his rectum, I can't quite fathom--but that's what I was told. And, of course, I'm spreading it to y'all.

Well, I don't have much to spill today...but, before I forget, an insider told me that Christina Ricci & Selma Blair's new Calista-like skeltal figures are due to a dependence on treadmill & snort ("Don't Do It!")

Billy Masters has a nasty bit about a certain Best Actress "loser" who, at the Oscar after-parties, as the evening progressed, became less and less p.c. and finally cracked "First Black actress to win an Oscar--Black, my ass. Didja see her mother? She's almost as white as I am!" (Honey, very few are that "white", unless we're talking "Powder" here).

Hmmm, doesn't sound like Sissy or Dame Judi to me.

And, I'm gonna assume that the tears in Renee's eyes during Halle's acceptance/ breakdown were sincere...so who does that leave, I wonder....

Could it be, oh, I don't know...uh...SATAN!!! (that would be a certain red-headed tall Australian, formerly married to a short man with a very big ego). Whatcha think?

oh, and one parting shot...I made a crack about the less-than-stellar "names" who've been recruited to perform "The Vagina Monologues" here in LA--and I made made a joke about former "Dallas" co-star Charlene Tilton being on my "dream cast" list.

Well, imagine my delight when I saw the VM ad in the paper today and saw next week's cast announced as Rain Pryor (Richard's E- Macy Gray-lookalike daughter) and Miss T. herself!!! A third performer is TBA, show biz for To Be Announced (frantic calls are going out to the wrestler formerly known as Chynna, I would presume).

So who is Billy Masters?

OK, I guess it's dirty laundry time. I know it has been said often that she should be glad. A real "black" actress might not have had the opportunities she's gotten in Hollywood. It's been said that her victory was sealed when she had sex with the "white man" that executed her husband in the movie. Having said all that though, I'm happy for Halle and she is a babe so hey! I still think Angella Basset is a better actress though.

So when are we gonna see Wesley Snipes bed down Ashley Judd?
