I found the show really tired last night. How many times can they show someone throwing up? Do the producers think that's what the viewing audience wants to see? Next week they'll probably eat bugs or drink pig's blood again. Even Jeff Probst looked tired.

Of course they are trying to draw in the female audience by having a few bare chested, twenty-something hunks roaming around with attitudes as big as their pecs.

When the first "Survivor" went off, some of the tribe members had about fifteen minutes of fame, but since then I haven't seen any of the other contestants in anything.

I never watched these shows and never had the desire to either...bugs, filth, sand forever in your rectum.....yeah right....

what is with Jeff Probst, what is his story anyway...I saw naked pictures of him about a year ago on the Net, before he was looking so gaunt.....

I miss Rock 'N' Roll Jeopardy...that was where he really stood out and looked good, too!

I watched last night; the formula is getting a tad predictable and stale--BUT ya never know what kinda DRAMA is gonna develop!!!

Basically the two tribes have been divided between the younger and the older people( they actually had the two oldest people pick their teams just like back in school!!!!)

I'm rooting for the older folks, BUT they got rid of their bossy, take-charge pastor last night...so who knows?? The black chick who couldn't solve the puzzle and made them lose the immunity challenge should have been the one to go IMHO.

The one contestant I cant's stand... is the skateboard DUDE who looks like Tommy Lee with the piercing in his chin and the ATTITUDE. Yes, folks he was wearing his skater-dude wool stocking cap in THAILAND!!!!
He's GOTTA GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW, my FAVE show this summer, except for "SEX" was BIG BROTHER...the finale is next Wednesday. Will the scheming Danielle, the innocent Danielle sidekick VIRGIN Jason, or the lovely Lisa win the game????

Unfortunately, they got rid of my faves---studly Roddy & the flamboyant Marcellas--BUT I'm still gonna be watching!!!

I actually tried to watch this. I figured, this is the show that started it all so let's see what all the fuss is about.

I didn't catch the beginning, I came in when they were trying to build shelters. I lasted up to and through the puzzle solving.

Like I said a few weeks ago, I don't (and won't) be watching these shows. Totally bored. What is the attraction? I just don't get it.

Well, because we seem to have the same taste in shows, you just saved me the trouble. I guess we'll never get it Nicky

Now guys, it's your TV and you can choose to watch whatever you like--BUT...

this week you've written off BOTH "Survivor" & "The Sopranos" as wastes of time.

AS someone who's watched BOTH--I gotta disagree. One is obviously more a guilty pleasure than the other which is a monumental classic TV program....BUT fellas...what DO you watch???

Hmmmm???? I'm ...well, you know.

Well, to be honest Marky there really isn't much I watch regularly on commercial TV. When I do watch TV it's primarily cable and even then it's sporadic. I may catch an occasional Oz, Sex And The City and movies. Perhaps I'm stuck in the seventies but as for sitcoms I prefer All In The Family when I can catch it on TV Land.
Perhaps my feeling about todays TV is from burn out or I've seen it done before and done better on previous shows.

I hardly watch TV at all... I might catch the odd show here or there when visiting friends, but I almost never watch it at home -- unless you count South Park, but I download that off the 'net.

Television is mind poison. Free yourself from it, and be amazed at how your though process changes.

My Must-See TV is mostly on cable or WNBC...

I always watch (taped) Days of Our Lives....(if I miss episodes, is there anyone in this Forum who watches? If so, please let me know - the Soap room is full of teenage girls...I feel like a dirty old queen talking to my nieces)......I love OZ, QUEER.....and Six Feet Under...Will and Grace, (but it is so My Best Friend's Wedding lately)...Frasier, Friends and sometimes Sopranos....I hate Sex in the City (too much estrogen), Anna...those filthy Osbornes and anything that requires 4 hours of couch potatoing which includes the yelling of Go Mets, Go Jets, and the only Tiger I want in my life is one in my bed, not in the Woods.

Well, Mark, here's a short list:

LAW & ORDER (and the 2 spin-offs: SVU & CI. The 'real' one didn't work for me.)
THE WEST WING (of course)
THE GUARDIAN
CSI
24
THE DEAD ZONE
SIX FEET UNDER
OZ
QUEER AS FOLK
ODYSSEY 5

Any movie or show, good or bad, dealing with horror (vampires, satan, THE HAUNTING), sci-fi (STARGATE SG-1, ARMAGEDDON) or just a good thriller or action adventure (THE GIFT, DOUBLE JEOPARDY, THE ABYSS, Harrison Ford's RAIDER'S trilogy).

My guilty pleasures:

BUFFY...
ANGEL
SMALLVILLE
ROSWELL (cancelled)
and fluff special effects movies like THE MUMMY, MEN IN BLACK.

As you can see, no sitcoms, reality, soaps, talkshows. I do, or did, watch a lot of PBS but lately it's been downhill. Nothing really new and Discovery Channel has turned into pure crap.

I wouldn't be surprised if I liked The Sopranos if I gave myself the chance but I just don't care about that theme anymore.
