Hey Leanmean. I've just read your post on the "Top 500 Progress".

WELCOME BACK!!!

It's been so long since we last heard from you and I and others were wondering if we would ever hear from you again. Nice to see you back again. Also how's things going for your mother, I hope she's doing well.

Anyhow while you were gone things have been rather rocky for a number of months as there been some racist/homophobic members joining up and posting rotten stuff but fortunately they have disappeared. Also Fantomas has been making racist/homophobic posts with his so called "politically correct" threads and he's now banned from the board as a result of it. But now these people have gone, things are getting back to normal again which is good.

Another bad thing that has happened to this site is that Dance Groove Radio and the audio samples no longer exist no thanks to those BLOODY corporate arseholes making tighter copyright rules with audio samples which really sucks. And I guess you know Audio Galaxy is also down the tubes.

And now for some good news , as you already know there's going to be a new Top 500 and the best bit is it's going to be different to the current top 500 and Bernie mentioned there'll be some surprises. Also Bernie might be doing an interview with Gloria Gaynor very soon as well . Also we are having more new members on the board who post regularly.

Anyhow it's good to have you back and hope you keep posting.

Cheers

I've already said hello but it is good to see you back with us. I neglected to ask after your Mother. I do hope she's doing ok.

Stick around... we need you. And you got to submit for the new Top 500. I know you'll be listing at least ONE Gap Band song.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

My mom is STILL in the nursing home. She cannot stand up or walk by herself yet, but they are working on it in therapy. In fact, the insurance company dropped her therapy coverage, but the woman in charge is doing it for free. Now how's THAT for making a difference in someone's life?!

Here's a gay insider's note: You know how lesbians can't decorate or if they do it's in early Walmart?! Well, I resemble that "ism" but I'm doing something about it! I'm taking an interior design class!

I used to have pushy gay male friends who would just start moving my furniture around saying, "Oh, you don't mind if I just move this over here, do you honey? It will open up this space really nicely!"

Now I think my men friends don't want to be too rude, but I know what they're thinking: "Gawd, she has a New England style home on the outside, with one bathroom done in Southwestern motif (if you could call it that); the dining room is a hodge-podge of dinette set, expensive, but WEIRD art with Walmart CD case and HUGE speakers with a Rooms to Go living room set. Just GUT THE HOUSE AND START OVER!"

Okay, I may be a little slow, but I'm now paying to learn what you gay guys were born knowing: a little chenille goes a long way!

Love to all!

You go, Grrrl! But to be honest, I couldn't decorate the inside of a cardboard box without screwing it up! Bill's' the artist, I leave that up to him. He asked me once when we were apartment-hunting in New York: "What did you see when we looked at that great loft space?" My reply, "A large, dirty loft!" No vision, that's me.

Jeff and Marky will tell ya, my gay-side's just a tad skewed.

I know I mentioned this in another thread so I'll say it again.....It's good to hear from you again because I thought that you were gone for good. Funky Dude brokedown all of the drama that has occured over the last few months so I don't have to repeat it.

I'm glad to hear that your mother is well but I can't believe how her insurance company can drop her therapy coverage!!! And they wonder why people talk so bad about them. On a brighter note, that woman in charge is an angel for helping your mother out.

WELCOME BACK!
*DELIGHTFUL*

Christ Nicky! Are you sure you're gay? I think it's time you consider handing your gay card over to Bill. I'm sure the straight world will welcome you into the fold

Oh no you don't, my brother. I'm not going anywhere near THAT closet again. Besides, I wouldn't know how to behave or where to look first. I'd probably end up hitting on some woman's husband. Who needs the hassle!
