TRIPLE DUH.

I DID record Will singing and Discodisk, it was indeed "The Sweetest Feeling". I just found it on the tape as they introduced him.
So now I gotta go listen again. I thought this song was TOO GOOD TO BE NEW. They don't write em like that anymore. Eh, Diane (hack-power-ballad-schlockmistress) Warren???? :razz:

Well, I don't wanna toot my horn too loudly (MORE TRUMPET, Mr. Alpert!!!) BUT, I was pretty dead-on in my assessment of that song.

Now from the way the tool hosts introduced Will Young's song--I presumed THIS SONG was the HIT they kept saying sold 1.3 million records. BUT, in reality, it hasn't been released in Britain yet either????

Anyway, DD (you font of knowledge) it WAS the Jackie Wilson record from 1968 (MORE TRUMPET HERB!!!!) titled "I Get The Sweetest Feeling"--Dunkelman intro'd as "The Sweetest Feeling". Adorable song...too good to be a hit over here, I'm afraid. (I hope I'm wrong).

I must have heard this song before--BUT I swear I have no memory of it, at least consciously. BUT, I swear there is something in the subconscious where melody patterns, choruses, and instrumental hooks are stored...because sometimes...you just know you've heard something before...BUT "who knows where or when"....NOW THAT sounds suspiciously familiar to me too. Hmmmmm... :razz:

well done MARKY now people are gonna realise youre not a bimbo :grin: its very odd how things vary between countries that jackie wilson record has had more releases here than any other i can recall and charted pop a few times as well, its a part of life here theres another[shit rare]version with the same backing also on brunswick by erma franklin i had a copy and last year a guy begged me to sell it to him for about$200 and im very sorry now.two years ago here a small label remixed the two vocals together to create a great new version on c.d single apparently the people who own the brunswick label rights over there rang the label and said "HOW did you do that"! keep racking your brain try to think of the single piano notes at the beginning of the song

Just when you thought it was all over...

I have to bring it up again. Yep!!!

Well, first I want to report that a casting call went out last week for a hot guy (I think they wanted Latin/Hispanic) to appear in Kelly Clarkson's video.

Second, David Letterman did a mean but funny bit on last Friday's show regarding Kelly's career arc.

November--Kelly's "Songs Of Love" is released.

December--Kelly's "Fading Fast" is released.

February--Kelly's "I'm So Over" is released.

We'll see. An enduring recording artist or a trivia question????!!!! :???:

In today's Variety, it's reported that Tamyra Gray, the ousted-way-too-early, in my opinion, "American Idol" contestant is in talks to appear on "Boston Public" as an actress in several episodes.

Also, it's reported that Simon/Simone (think "Victor/Victoria") Fuller IS repping Tamyra and searching for a record deal with a label.
