Pretty impressive! I'd read about the "Imperial Courts", but never connected with them until the mid-eighties, in SFO. Fairly close to the end of their major relevance.

It helps to have friends with influence at the time. Empress Jessie I & IV was one of my closest friends at the time, and my final stint with the Court system was with Tiffany of Fresno, who was mentored by Jessie herself. I was a dancer with Tiffany, also. She won the crown by doing "Diamonds are a girls best friend" number, with men in tuxedos, and a special effects crew of fire extinguishers filled with glitter who sprayed the stage whenever she said DIAMONDS!!!
