Robbie,

Johnny Bristol wrote and produced "Someday We'll Be Together" as Diana's projected first solo release. "These Things Will Keep Me Loving You" (originally done by The Velvelettes) was recorded as a possible follow-up single. Johnny Bristol is the male vocal on that track. This was in early 1969 or maybe late 1968--before she officially left The Supremes. Those tracks laid in the can for around a year. Then Motown enlisted Ashford & Simpson to start writing the Ross solo LP and "Someday We'll Be Together" with The Waters on background vocals was released as the final single of Diana Ross & The Supremes. I still remember Mary lip-synching that gospelly "sing it pretty now" on the Ed Sullivan Show. I thought "Go Mary!!!" My younger brother was the one who tipped me off years later that Mary & Cindy DID NOT even sing on that record and I later read it was The Waters, I think, in a reference book I have about #1 Singles. I'm gonna look for it.

West Wing? Fiction, for sure. The real USA government, the Bush Jr. gang, is the RIGHT WING.

Big Brother? The worst crap ever made for TV, in any country (we have this crap here in Brasil too.) Horrible show.

About Diana Ross: I don't think she will regroup with Mary and Cindy after the disaster that was the reunion tour. I think she will continue to record and to perform for a few more years. She's in good voice and she is looking good, so I think we will hear some good news about our Lady Di very soon.

Peace,
