Neat pics Video. Im scared to death of rides! I live in California and hate Magic Mountain and all those freakin fast high pukey rides. I've never seen a festival or carnival here in L.A that had anything that even looks remotely like your pictures I've seen. Just a reminder I guess that I havent got out much.

Lina, I hear ya babe. Even when I was a young pup and I went on those kinds of ride, I would ask myself after puking, this was supposed to be fun  8)
Anyway, I have other ways of having a good time

Some of the old rides used to be genuinely frightening, remember The Hellhole - this was the one in which the floor dropped away from under your feet while you were pinned to the excruciatingly rapidly spinning round wall. What if the apparatus would suddenly jam, what then? Of course who can quarantee those Dropzone-things which involve people being thrust upwards along a horribly high pole and then dropped down could not accidentally malfunction? I've always wondered what it would be like to sit there, legs kicking desperately in the air, and fly upwards over the end of the pole, up into the sky with tremendous g-force..and then plummed down like a stone! Now, don't miss the new film "Final Destination 3" as it begins with spectacular footage of a malfunctioning roller coaster - what a way to go! :-)

I hated the "Zipper". That thing spun while spinning and all the while this thing rotates like a ferris wheel......yuk!

 I love fair rides....a major addict when I was younger. I've only been sick on one ride and, yep, it was the Rotor! The ride stopped, people were leaving, and I threw up!

A bit of advice....don't ride the Rotor (or Hellhole) after a few beers. 8)

I bet you don't know the 3 holy rules of a funfair-ride:

1.Never get on a ride with an empty stomach.
2.Neber get on a ride with a complete full stomach.
3.Never close your eyes while spinning.
When I was younger, I was never effected by anything, spinning, relatively high G forces etc....I've even 'looped the loop' in a Tigermoth bi-plane, but nowadays I only have to look at them and I feel sick!! I took my son on a ride about three years ago and felt crap for two days!! I reckon I've built an intolerance to these rides so they're now a no-no for me!
