Here in the UK which they've just aired they edited both shows :evil: - I was surprised to see Paris in the bottom three - I thought that was the best performance of the night!!

Well no, but it just sounded like they all chose cheesy lounge songs. Like that really crappy bar in Vegas that has super cheap drinks and that silly lounge-singer singing all those crappy songs. I love oldies but they have to be done justice and they didn't do them any ounce of justice that night!

Weren't they rather harsh on Katharine? I didn't think she was that bad. But the rule should be: NEVER ATTEMPT A SONG BY WHITNEY/MARIAH/ CELINE/ CHRISTINA----Randy has worked with them and he will roast you from the get-go And when he and Paula don't get on board for the "praise you" train --by the time Sour Simon chimes in with the ugly TRUTH...you are burnt toast.

I must believe the producers want Chris to win...but he was second from bottom last week; why don't they cut the lame "theme" week shit and let them choose what they want to do????

It seemed that Barry Manilow offered the most help to the singers--but with the way they edit it--they can make you think anything they want you to think. Who knows what really happened. I read that Brian May from Queen wasn't too pleased with they way they edited his comments......

Quite honestly, I thought Paula's reaction to Elliott was rather sweet. She recognizes a guy who truly does have musical talent and really loves to sing.

He's been rather awkward and nervous throughout the season...perhaps his family and friends pushed him to enter the contest because of his talent. He tears up at times and made me shed a tear when he sat teary-eyed beside the great Stevie Wonder. Elliott just has a passion for music and singing...a passion for music that all of us on this forum can relate to.

I agree Marky that the judges were a bit too harsh with Katherine because she did a better than average job. You really do have to wonder though why there wouldn't be someone to help them select their music and give them ideas...come up with songs from the past that aren't so overplayed.

Paris is still my favourite but don't mess with "The Way We Were" kid.

Simon actually APOLGIZED to Katharine for his HARSHNESS---thank gawd the viewers believed theirEARS and NOT the judges strange reaction to her attempt at a "sacred" WHITNEY tune; I don't know what happened here cuz if the judges can't actually hear the performances on stage--how can they judge them??? Should they be watching it on a TV set with headphones??? How could she possibly sound so bad in person and so good on the TV set????

Have they ever before told you exactly who the Top 2 were? It was just as most of us would have expected--Chris & Katharine as the Homecoming King & Queen...with the geek squad Elliott & Taylor in the middle...and Paris ready to pack her bags next week.... unless something VERY UNEXPECTED happens.

oh and p.s. Paula is a nutjob...supposedly off her rocker cuz her "boytoy of this season" Ace was booted last week....... that's what I heard.....ALLEGEDLY!!!! :lol:
