The show was given its first airing here in the UK....I loved the way Simon put Ryan Seabiscuit down by saying was he trying to emulate the cast of Desperate Housewives with the designer stubble - classic!

Not a great show tonight, I thought Kelly Pickler shone and agreed whole heartedly with the bottom three. The show is like the X-Factor here in the UK - except with more voters! Of the 35 million people that pick up the phone, probably only 2 million or so decide who goes and who stays as they probably now all have their core fans.

I'm going to be totally honest here..I didn't even see the show the other night! I fell asleep after a LONG day at school. So I really don't have an opinion as to who should stay or should go. Mandisa was one of my favs so yeah it's sad to see her go but screw it someone has to! I hope Chris stays strong, he's been my pick since jump street.

And for the record remi....you pluck a chicken you TWEASE your brows

Mandisa and the gay controversy.

Is ousted "American Idol" contestant Mandisa anti-gay? The 29-year-old soul singer and outspoken Christian, who was voted off the hit Fox show Wednesday, says she would not perform at an event held in support of the gay community.

Mandisa, a native of Antioch, Tenn., tells Advocate magazine, "Based on what I believe, I'm not an advocate for (being gay), so it's nothing I would take part in."

Still, she says in an interview in the magazine's Web site, she's "really upset" by speculation she endorses the ex-gay movement a collection of Christian groups that seek to alter sexual orientation. The speculation stemmed from comments she made on the "American Idol" Web site praising author and speaker Beth Moore, of Living Proof Ministries. Moore's Web site has links to groups such as Exodus International that discourage homosexuality.

"It broke my heart," Mandisa says. "I live my life by the value system that you treat others the way you want to be treated. I let love be my guide. I absolutely hate no one."

Long a favorite of "Idol" judges, she says her views "could have contributed" to her surprising elimination. "Idol" contestants are trimmed weekly based on fan voting.

"Honestly, I'm not sure," she says. "I've heard a lot of different theories about what could have happened, and all of 'em sound pretty decent to me."

Lina ..... I suppose I could give you the vote on Idol ... (all things consdered :P  ) ............. bottom line ..... how well can those old lungs belt out a song !!!

Now as for tonight ...... the most talented and able amongst them should have no hesitation rising to the occassion and taking on BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY .... ( we'll see who does ) .... at this point those still standing should all be capable .... Anybody that wimps out with something light weight at this stage : ......

.... OFF WITH THEIR HEADS !!!!

Quite honestly, I am not looking forward to hearing any of them attempt to sing a Queen song. It might be embarassing for some of them as Freddie Mercury had quite distinct vocals...only exception being Crazy Little Thing Called Love with its rockabilly, Elvis-like tone.

Even the professionals out there would find it a challenge with the Queen catalogue....although would love to hear Ms. Labelle belt out Somebody To Love.

Well the Queen show was an example of unpredictability..I wouldn't have matched any of those songs with those singers!!!

I woulda predicted Kelli or Bucky doing "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" --not Taylor. I woulda thought Chris woulda taken one of the rocker anthems--'We Will Rock You" or "We Are The Champions" --but he went obscure with 'The Innuendo"???? Duh.

No one did "Another One Bites The Dust"!!! Wut????

It would appear to me that Ace was the weakest--but I'm not a fan of Bucky or Taylor either....so they would be my bottom 3.

honestly it's time for Ace to get the boot.... he just won't own up to the fact that he's picked 6 bad song choices in a row... but it hard to blame him for everything... the theme weeks have killed him.

At this point, I don't really care who gets kicked off as I don't really have a favorite. Thought Elliott was awful last night and Kelli doing "Bohemian Rhapsody" hahaha.

It's just a game---I could give a shit who wins!!!

But it is addictive TV....hence we keep comin' back to see the results.

Bottom-line--these are NOT artists---they are all just competent karaoke singers---but that's enuf to get a hit record these days, it seems.

But does anyone really care about their next records????

Only Kelly Clarkson really seems to have hit records. :-?

I was quite surprised how well they did actually. I was dreading hearing them attempt Queen songs but all in all, it was better than the last couple weeks of country and current hits.

I thought Kelly did a pretty good job with Bohemian Rhapsody and I loved the rocker chick look! Kinda reminded me of a young Suzanne Somers as Chrissie Snow.

The song that Chris did was unfamiliar to me but he certainly can belt it out in that alterna-rock persona (and he looked scrumptious with the increased facial hair....  )

Paris is now my favourite. I liked Simon's comparison last week to a young Dionne Warwicke. Hopefully she'll go farther in her recording career. Katharine is good too and has an incredibly pretty face. She did okay with Who Wants To Live Forever but nothing can beat Sarah Brightman's version.

I did find it interesting and bothersome that at the first of the show when they were going thru Queen's history, they mentioned Freddie died in 1991 but left out the AIDS part. I'm certain this was done on purpose to protect America's children from such "atrocities".

Not once this season has a song been hit out of the ballpark .

We applaud Kelly because she had the courage ( read : didn't know better ) to take on BOHEMIAN .... and also applaud her because she didn't have a disaster with it .... and not because she took it anywhere special.

Simon asking Taylor if he was drunk was uncalled for ... ( does he ever ask Paula that ! )

I found Paris delightful .

Chris Brows has such amazing control of his voice . Smile more Chris .

I liked Elliot again ... his way of phrasing is what I dig the most ... I'm thinking it has something to do with the way his teeth are all jumbled in his mouth... plus the slight huskiness ...

It's probably time for Taylor to sober up and pack his bags .

I wonder how Headlamp and family voted .....??
