BTW ..... who was that hideous belly dancer and her pimp duo that was on last week's show .....embarrassing :oops: ...I would have loved to have heard Simon's review of those clowns !!! :lol:
( actually I could tell Simon's opinion by the distasteful look on his face ....)

So let's see what this group considers to be the best of country music. Be nice if someone gave Buck Owen's a tribute by doing one of his tunes ( he had over 20 of them top the country chart ) .... but I won't hold my breath ....

It's actually next week's show I am looking forward to....we will be in New York and so consequently watch the whole thing live and actually vote!!!! How sad am I that I am coming to the US and really looking forward to watching TV in a hotel room!! :o , No what's really sad is that it rates higher in my excitement then going to the Empire State Building :D

But why don't you consider this ..... just like there are sports bars for games .... there's got to be a place that'll be showing it on a big screen .... could be a memorable hoot ....watching it in this environment .... with an NYC crowd ... I'm sure there would be a family place showing it .... just ask around ....

BTW.... back when ... I used to intentionally go to The Pendulum, a bar in the Castro ... on Wednesday nights , where a group gathered each week to watch the continuing adventures of Dynasty .... :oops:

Hmmm....I don't think this week's country songs did much for any of the competitors except to show the vulnerability of their talents. This was another week where none of them seemed outstanding...really disappointing because of what they've done in the past.

I'm hoping Taylor's poor rendition of Take Me Home Country Roads doesn't end up getting him voted off. So many solid country songs to choose from and he does that! And Paris' cover of How Do I Live was shaky as well.

I guess it proves that country music demands true vocal talent because of its focus on lyrics.

Taylor gets my vote for WORST of the evening.

I kept waiting for one of the girls (Katharine, Mandiva, ???) to sing STAND BY YOUR MAN or a great old Patsy Cline tune ("Crazy", maybe???)...and they all chose throwaway crap from the Shania Twain school!!!

These kids need some help in their song choices!!!!

Who recorded that song Bucky sang??? I know I have it --but I swear it's by a ROCK group. Also, who did that "bring out the Elvis in me" tune that Katharine thought was "country"--I know I have that by someone also....oh I guess I could google that or go to AMG...but I can't recall the title phrase of the Bucky tune!!!! :oops:

Well, Mandisa is gone...bloody shame because I looked forward to hearing what song she would do each week.

This is the first year that I have watched Idol with much interest. I certainly am not going to enjoy watching now knowing that each week we'll be saying goodbye to one of these 'regulars' (except Bucky...won't miss him).

And I don't know what the producers of this show are thinking with the Queen theme next week. Queen's songs are totally unique and geared to the voice of Freddie Mercury...I can't imagine that any performance is going to be memorable. But of course, it's a chance to plug a new Queen album... :roll: ...priorities doncha know.

I've always thought it'd be interesting to hear each one take on the same song. I guess the audience wouldn't sit thru that though. Still wouldn't it be a hoot to hear each one take on Bohemian Rhapsody !! :lol:

There's no restrictions against more than one choosing the same song ... so we could get some of that ..... maybe they'll all pick ANOTHER BITES THE DUST and we can watch Simon slowly dissolve under the table !!
