Since a few days we are experiencing one of the coldest winters since many years over here. Snow, ice and extreme cold temperatures. I'm constantly doing maintenance on our Ferris Wheel here and I have to heat the watertanks to prevent them from freezing (they keep the wheel in balance). Luckily people are still coming for a ride. And then... we turn on da tele and we see people on the beach in Australia, celebrating X-mas in their swimming suits  I know the members here are living in all the corners of the world, so my little question: "How's the weather over there?" Our Belgian coast today where snow is very rare except for now:

Well it's cold for San Diego. Nightime upper 30s to low 40ºF. Daytime mid 60ºF.

It was 72F this afternoon clear blue sky without a cloud. Far better than the 6 month long frigid arctic conditions I left behind in the Socialist People's Republic of Massachusetts.

You guys should visit Buenos Aires now. Today was the hottest day of all December, with some 35C in the shade. Summer started a week ago and I just bought a bathing suit this afternoon. There's a big family reunion in a nice, quiet house in the suburbs for December 31. I plan to use my bathing suit in the swimming pool. Envy me! 8)

Belgian and Dutch authorities have just issued a strong warning that if you don't have to get out today (Friday) you're strongly adviced to stay at home. We're going to get the full load of snow and ice in a few hours. |

On december 29, Denmark unofficially closed down  I can't remember the last time I saw so much snow over here. Parts of the country are completely impassable! We're expecting huge amounts of glazed frost later today, this could ruin new years eve for a lot of people

I feel your pain! I spent my entire life like that living in Massachusetts. New England winters are brutal. My wife and I decided to move to warmer climes last winter after a January blizzard - 3 feet of snow, 9F temperatures and 60 mile an hour winds. We finished the winter of 2004-2005 with 10 feet of snow. It's 70F and SUNNY where I am now. :D
