You are quite right that some Dems supported the Patriot Act. Believe me, there are many liberals including myself who are pissed at them.
The problem at 9/11 wasn't info. They had the info. You can have all the intelligence you want. If you don't act on it then it's meaningless. The Fatherland Initiative, had it been around at 9/11 wouldn't have change at thing. At the very least, Bush didn't pay attention to his PDBs. So change fascism for communism.

Well, if you wanna make a similar analogy with MAnn and Ronstadt or MAnn and the Dixie Chicks, liberal owners of bookstores should stop selling MAnn's books. Fascism is communism. I expect that from Bush disciples. When a somewhat coherent statement is made, it means the opposite. Example, Bush's Clear Skies Initiative allowing more pollutants. As Franken said, he meant clear the skies of birds! Also, I can't forget this golden oldie. A water proposal he wanted that allowed more arsenic in our drinking water :o
