Are you implying therefore that the American way is to have women barefoot and pregnant, go to war for whatever reason, and protect the the flag while the Constitution and Bill Of Rights are burned in ash heap of history?
You missed the point entirly.

Some of us don't believe the CIA or the FBI people dropped the ball on the events of 9-11. I'm not fooled by that mind trick. I believe the Bush crime family allowed these events to occur cause you'll probably notice, every illegal thing they want to do they justify it with 9-11. Some of you may have read PNAC, a group of conservatives with the likes of Dick Cheney and Paul Wolfowitz. Years before 9-11 they stated they needed a WWII scenario to do exactly what they are doing now.
I believe in the capability of our military and defense systems. They will never get me to believe that 4 commercial airliners were allowed to go off course and make u-turns without military intercepts. As an example, when golfer Payne Stewart's private plane went off course several years ago, F-16s were scrambled. How is it that 4 commercial airliners did this without some order from high up the food chain to stand down!
Anyway to get back to your original point. All the info was out there. The CIA, FBI, other nations, Bush's daily briefings, etc. You can have all intel in the world. If you don't act on it for whatever reason then there is no excuse for violating our freedoms. Hell, aren't we suppose to be fighting to retaing our freedoms!
I'm sorry but with this you are really out to lunch.
You've really lost sight of the forrest for the trees.

About those airliners: They were hijacked out of Boston's Logan Airport. Logan is Massachusetts' depository of failed politicians, political incest, incompetent connected public officials, incompetent connected family members and any other
low down adjective for failed, corrupt polictical hacks you could possibly think of. Shit, man we could go out there with a crew and dismantle and walk away with the Control Tower and it wouldn't even be noticed let alone missed. All the results of long entrenched one party rule (just happens to be socialist) beyond the control of the people and beyond the pale in their corruption.

I'm serious: If you're so enamored with one party socialist rule -move to Massachusetts where you can see it in action. And have your wallet stolen.

You're such an advocate for socialism - come to Massachusetts where you can put your money where your mouth is.

Umm, perhaps you forgot but I did mention that I attended school and lived in Boston for several years. Some of the finest schools in the world can be found in this socialist mecca. Perhaps that's why I'm such a big socialist  Anyway the main reason I left was because I wanted to be where it's warme, and the good looking female to male ratio sucked
With your strong distaste for socialism, I hope when you get your social security, you only accept what you put in plus oh let's say 10% interest. Also since you decided to move to a part of the country known to get hit by strong hurricanes, you wont be running to the government for assistance. In fact I will assume you are avoiding as much government assistance as possible.

I'm not expecting Socialism Security when I get old. It's worked well for the democRats over the past 70 years or so.
Socialism Security has bought many an election...I'm not accusing the democRats of pandering to the old or of re-enforcing their fears of returning to the Great Depression. No no the democRats wouldn't do that...

Ahh, ok. So I gather you are fairly wealthy. Either that or you've drank the right wing kool-aid. If you're the latter then that explains how the carrot before the horse works on you. You know, once they cut off all dem social programs, I'll be rich too.
If you are ever inclined to detoxify, pick up a history book. Focus in on the age of the Robber Barons. Stay away from the nutballs like Rush and Hannity. They have no idea what they are talking about. Also avoid kooky websites like newsmax. In fact I'd recommend mediamatters. It's run by David Brock. He used to be a right wing nut till even he got tired of the lies. Now he's on our team

Soviet Socialist Republic of Massachusetts lost more than 8,000
residents from July, 2004 to July, 2005, which is more than double the estimated loss of the previous year. The link is a good article addressing the problem.

People love socialism so much...they leave.

Paul, you might be advised to read and take note...

Well, they like you are speculating that the population shift is motivated strongly by politics. I'm more inclined to think it's cost of living and weather. Even if the speculation is entirely true, why should I be concerned? Some of the red states might turn blue. In fact based on states like Virginia that picked a Dem governor, there might be a shift in politics in some conservative areas. Not all moderates or even some repubs want the fascist knuckle scraping nazi paradise you long for.

It's all of that and more that people on my side of the political spectrum are fighting right now Jussi. When some of these things were initially raised several years ago, many including me never really gave it much thought. I just thought we had a population above those sorts of thing. With the current regime, all of these things come a bit more closely to reality.
There is some hope. I read recently a judge in a case for intelligent design tossed it out as a science requirement. In fact as I read it, he was was scolding the district for even making this an issue.
Also, the judges who are involved with the secret extra-constitutional measures to circumvent our privacy rights (implied) are pissed at what this regime is doing with illegal wiretaps. One of them just stepped down because of what's going on.
There is some hope that intelligence and reason might still rule come back here in the states.
