Just curious: does anybody know this movie?
There is a wonderful track inside (Van Nuys Blvd by Ron Wright), this movie I think never reached Italy.
What was the content? Was a "disco" movie?
Thanks for any info on that.

VAN NUYS BOULEVARD was one of the "drive-in" exploitation films made in the late 70s. These cheapies were abundant and varied in quality (Malibu High, Cherry Hill High, The Van, Corvette Summer, etc.). They usually centered around high school, cars and other "teenage" interests (the teenagers usually played by people in their late 20s). They were not "disco movies" per se, but usually had gratuitous disco-pop in their soundtracks, the same as A-movies.
I tried to locate a soundtrack for you, but I've been unsuccessful.

Thank you Boo,
I have the original album from this soundtrack because the track "Van Nuys Blvd" was very famous in Italy during late 70s specially in disco clubs in the Rimini area.
But I was wondering which the movie content was.
Thanks, Masdefi

Mas, many of the "Grade-Z" exploitation films had decent dance tracks on their soundtracks. The problem is finding the soundtracks, 12", etc.

1) FRIDAY THE 13th PART 3 - the title song was released on 12", I'm sure of that. The track was the best part of the movie.
2) WILD AND BEAUTIFUL ON IBIZA - had a catchy tune entitled "Jet Set".....no info on the soundtrack.
3) GAS PUMP GIRLS - this drive-in classic starred Huntz Hall (from the Bowery Boys series). It is very similar to VAN NUYS BOULEVARD, and had a couple of decent disco-pop titles on the soundtrack.
4) NOCTURNA - We've talked about this one often on the board. "Nighttime Fantasy" by Vicki Sue Robinson and "Love Is Just A Heartbeat Away" by Gloria Gaynor are the standouts. If you see it, grab it!

I'll try to think of some more.....
