Default Is Your Printer Spying on You?

The Electronic Frontier Foundation is an organization that works to
protect your digital rights. The EFF continues to champion the public
interest in cutting-edge issues of free speech, privacy, innovation,
and consumer rights. About a year ago it was revealed that several
printer companies were quietly encoding the serial number and
manufacturing code of their color laser printers and color copiers on
every document those machines produce, ostensibly to combat
counterfeiting. The codes are invisible to the naked eye, but with
the help of a blue LED and a microscope you can see the yellow dots
on the page.

The EFF set about to try to decode those dots and discovered how to
read the date, time, and printer serial number from the codes. There
are pictures of the codes and their analysis at:

On its web site the EFF has published a list of the printers that do
and do not print tracking dots:

Isn't all this terrifying? A few weeks ago there was a program on Belgian television that followed 1 individual during 24hrs. The person was informed about the concept but they didn't tell him which day the surveilling would be done.

On that show the person and the public could witness what Big Brother is doing to us nowadays. His Mobile-records showed all his communications and locations. His bank-card showed his locations and all the things he purchased that day. His internetconnection again showed all his communications. And the great part was when the videotapes of all the cameras were shown. Horrifying when you can see an entire roadmap of images of that person walking in the streets, parkings, shops and so on.

And the next big thing here is our new Identitycard that's also electronic now. Nobody knows which exact information is stored on it and what police can track down when they put it in their PC. The same goes for our electronic Social Securitycard where they store all your visits to the doctor, the medecines you have bought and the diseases you are treated for. I know that Insurencecompanies are having wet dreams about obtaining that info.

Now I'm gonna read a little bit about the theories that Bill Gates is Satan and that Microsoft is the work of da Devil :o

Oh what fascinating times we are experiencing! :o
