Ocean's 11

I watched this movie yesterday. While I thought it was okay and Brad and George looked pretty, I don't think it was a great movie.

What do others think?

I was dozing after the first 20 minutes.

Was there ever any impediment to the heist that they did not have a solution for?

Where was the suspense? It was just a foregone conclusion they were gonna get away with it.

Brad was cute and charming and the scene with him teaching young actors from the WB how to play poker was inspired.

Julia was wasted. Everyone else was merely competent. B-O-R-I-N-G (yawn). The seats at the Manns on Hollywood Blvd. were comfy for napping, though.

I rented this a few weeks ago. I was very dissapointed. Other than Brad and George, I felt the other actors barely knew each other. Julia and Andy were wasted talents in this one. Her scenes with Clooney in the restaurant were good but, hell, "Is that all there is?" is how I felt. And personally, you can give more screen time with Matt Damon over Brad ("I know I'm gorgeous") Pitt anyday. All in all, I agree with 'Little Brother' --- B-O-R-I-N-G!

I can't remember what article I was reading, but the reviewer said Julia Roberts looked like her upper lip was glued to her teeth all through the movie. I haven't watched the DVD yet - is it true???

I saw Ocean 11 last month and I thought that it was good but NOT great. One of the critics compared it to "The Usual Suspects" which I think is absolutely NO comparison. Yes both movies were about the ultimate set up but Ocean was missing the suspense and suprise finale "Kaizer Soze" (I love that name). I gotta say that George Clooney and Brad Pitt looked GOOOOOD!!!!!

For me, this film was enjoyable fluff.

And I can this of worse ways to spend two hours than looking at George Clooney. What a perfect example for the argument that men get BETTER with age.
