I've watched quite a few 70's TV shows and a number of them have great disco/funk/soul theme songs. And here are my favourites:

Fat Albert theme song
Jacksons variety theme song
Theme From Swat
Starsky & Hutch theme song
All of the Soul Train theme songs
All of the theme songs to the Shaft series and movies
Love Boat theme song
Charlies Angels theme song
Good Times theme song

So what are your favourites?

The break on "theme from swat" (especially the rhythm heritage version) is hot to death! the early hip-hop djs used to cut and extend that break ad-infinitum.

with well tidings and kind regards,

kelvy

Other TV show theme songs I like are:

Hawaii 5-0 theme
Mission Impossible theme
Scooby Doo themes (especially 1972/73 series theme)
Fantastic Four theme
Man About The House theme (not disco related but great song)
Goodies themes (great comedy and great songs especially the funky theme used in the 1972/73 series)
Top Of The Pops theme (starts off with Led Zepplin's "Whole Lotta Love" and fuses into a R&B dance song)

I certainly agree with that, also I really love the start where you hear the really funky wah-wah sounds.
