| Allthough I do prefer Freddie Hubbards more straight ahead output, "Little Sunflower" still deserves a mention. |

| I think 'Gleam' is his funkiest LP, followed by 'High Energy'.

| Good day to you too, Afroboy. 'Gleam' is a live set and was released in Japan in 1975. It's solid throughout and the opener, 'In The Pocket', is tougher than the studio version, in my opinion. I was informed that Sony plan to release it on CD in Japan, but this was meant to happen nearly 2 years ago. In the meantime, it's a bit of tricky LP to find. The original is a double set, but I think there's an early '80s single vinyl issue. You should aim for the complete session. A couple of others worth checking are 'First Light' (CD has bonus tracks) - it's straight, but electric. 'Born To Be Blue' from 1982 features 'Gibraltar', which is a modern classic. 'Straight Life' includes a particularly 'fat' version of Weldon Irvine's 'Mr. Clean'.

| Hey Forrrce we are on the same wavelength my man !! But i still gotta listen to that bonus track . I will admit there's a few of his 70's Lp still on my want list . So Forccce , don't sleep on his Windjammer Lp ,, whooa I been listening to it regularly when zippiing in and out of town over the past few weeks and its massive . Its amazing that i listened to it years ago then put it away for a long time and I wish i hadn't , its just like one big super dope CTI session with Bob James punching in as well , have a re-listen soon , if you got it , if you havn'y put it on your wants list  cheers |
