Default I recently watched the "Sweet Freedom" video

by Michael McDonald (am I the only one that only understands about 50% of the lyrics he sings?) and couldn't help noticing similarities between him and another Michael, Bolton. Both have similar vocal deliveries, both have been very successful, both often cover R and B songs even though they both are pretty good writers and musicians....so I wonder why McDonald seldom seems to be the butt of the jokes often directed at Bolton?
