I've always loved 'Theres A Ghost In My House' although it's come to be considered a bit naff on the Northern Scene. The fact that it hit the UK pop charts in the 70's maybe have something to do with it. Wasn't it originally written for the Four Tops? Nice choices there Discodisk...I love the Spinners track and what about the awesome "It's A Shame' with GC Camerons screaming vocals at the end? Or the ultra rare Andantes '(Like A) Nightmare' ? and my absolute favourite on the label, The Elgins 'Heaven Must Have Sent You"

When I think of Northern Soul Motown,I think of Chris Clark's "Love's Gone Bad" and Brenda Holloway's "Look What You've Done"

Barbara McNair - You're Gonna Love My Baby (Not uptempo as such, but certainly a builder!!)
Marvin Gaye - Lucky Lucky Me
Gladys Knight - Just Walk In My Shoes
Martha & The Vandellas - Motorin'
Detroit Spinners - I'll Always Love You
Barbara McNair - Baby A Go-Go

that'll get any party started
