| It's decent but my favorite was Darrell Banks "Open the door to your heart". An obvious favorite but definitely hits certain highs that stir emotion. |

| The Joanie Summers is on o.k. track but Linda Jones "Just Can't Live My Life" makes it sound like an also ran. |

| Sorry marmite, I know Joannie is a popular one, but the best ? Nah ! Great pop record with a dance beat (and therefore it has a very definate place on Northern dancefloors) and and a definate precurser to the campness of the the diva filled Disco records we like...the video is pretty good in itself (those dancers !) Joannie sings it nicely, but the best? Nah. I could go with either Linda or Darrell too, or Johnny Wyatt, or The Charades, or Yvonne Vernee, or Gwen Owens, or Cissy Houston or Lou Johnson or The Sapphires or Maxine Brown or Jackie Lee or Johnny Maestro or Kim Weston but Joannie? Nah. PS Can anyone tell me how to add so more little smiley faces to my post? My computer only allows me thirty per posting and I notice remicks has on avearage between 75 - 100 in every one of his ? |

| My favourite would have to be 'Born A Loser' by Don Ray. |

Don't watch - JUST LISTEN! Sultry sexy vocals, with an uplifting feel makes this a great dance tune at Northern Nites It is just my opinion of course, but still up there as one of my faves ever. |

| Nice tune, but not the best northern by far. Sorry. Personal fave at the moment for me: Platters - Sweet Sweet Lovin'. Just got a copy on the old black wax, and it's been stuck on the deck for the past week solid

| [quote=Soulpreacher;114469]Nice tune, but not the best northern by far. Sorry. As I said (imho) Tomorrow it could be The Steinways - You've Been Leading Me On, The Orlons - Baby Baby or Johnny Caswell - You Don't Love Me Anymore, but I'll always keep coming back to Joanie. |

| Well ....... Absurd storyline aside ..... it does have a nice Dionne Warwick WALK ON BY quality about it .... nice female chorus and plenty of strings And considering what we're talking about here .... Northern Soul ....or dud songs from the sixties I think its OK ....but I'm still surprised you tagged it as "best'. Northern Soul is like disco is like all music ..... rarely can we agree on what we each personally like best ....... it's all opinion ... YOU like it .......BTW .... I'm relieved you weren't saying that video was a great example of Northern Soul DANCING .... *****
