Hi Energyguy,

Are Animal Magnetism by Tracy Ackerman and Eye Contact by Tessa Niles cover versions? I am asking because I remember buying a Nightmare release with the the title Animal Magnetism by ??? (sung by a man, I don't remember his name now; I think there's a D or a P in his name). I have a version of Eye Contact by Linda Lusardi. Just asking out of curiosity.

Hello my friend
Yeah, this great CD is a compilation of recording by producer IAN LEVINE - Stuff that never got released on 12"LP. ANIMAL MAGNETISM & EYE CONTACT are both cover versions that were originally released by DARYL PANDY & LINDA LUSARDI (Tracy Ackermans version is far better..) She also does a great cover of NO WIN SITUATION whch was a hit for Evelyn thomas in 1987. Its a great CD which is worth buying (got mine from e-bay)

So, ebay is the only source where one can get a hold of this cd? What's the album title? RECORD SHACK - RARE AND UNRELEASED GEMS?
And yes, Daryl Pandy is the artist's name I couldn't remember.
I am curious about Tracy Ackerman's version of Animal Magnetism.
What other gems from the eighties can you recommend?

the CD is called
RECORD SHACK : 36 UNRELEASED GEMS & RARE CLASSICS
CATALOGUE NUMBER - AWE 8004-2
It was released via the HOT PRODUCTIONS label in USA 1996.
Also check out on Amazon-U.S. | Amazon-U.K. as they may have it available..
The Tracy Ackerman version is far superior to the DP release. its the same backing track but it works far better with her vocals.
You should also try & get hold of the GAY CLASSICS series of cds that were released in 1995/1996 by HOT PRODUCTIONS. A full series of "greatest hits" Cds from the top 80s HINRG/DISCO artists from that fab period (1981 - 1988). You can normally pick em up on e-bay from about 99 cents.. Also have a look on Amazon.
If you want specific details of titles/track listings feel free to ask me.

Hi Energyguy!

Thanks so much for the good info. I just purchased the Record Shack gems (36 tracks, right?).

The cd is near mint. Good. Should take a couple of days though since I bought the cd in the US.

Thanks again for your quick and kind reply.

The Tracy Ackerman version of Animal Magnetism sounds promising based on the sound clip. Eye Contact sounds very similar to the Linda Lusardi version. There are quite a few other tracks on that cd that I don't know.

There is a great track by SEVENTH AVENUE.."EVERLASTING LOVE" (you will probably remember the SANDRA version from 1987)
