Default The Twins - All Mixed Up

Me again...

So tonight I will mainly be talking about slightly cheesy gay orientated pop songs, lol...anyone else remember Gayle and Gillian Blakeney (?), twin sisters who appeared on Neighbours in the early 90's and released the classic (!) "All Mixed Up" on PWL, in the days when you only had to walk on and order a smoothie in Lassiter's Coffee Shop to be offered a recording contract by Pete Waterman! Anyway, the track was big in Tintins, and I remember to my shame singing it to the guy behing the counter in Loading Bay as I tried to identify it!!!!

That song is surprisingly collectible now for Stock/Aitken/Waterman collecters. The CD5s always go for at $50-100 on ebay, I guess because so few copies were made since the song was kind of a flop. They recorded to other singles under the name of Gayle & Gillian, "Mad If Ya Don't" and a cover of Prince's "Wanna Be Your Lover" that weren't really Hi-NRG but were cute dance-pop songs.

I remember buying that from HMV - I had not actually heard it at the time but bought it cos it was PWL related - It was actually really awful - Not a classic PWL track by any stretch of the imagination
