So this Katie Kissoon track is a cover version of Grace Jones' 'I Need A Man'; is that right? Man To Man also did a version of that didn't they? (I've got that version - very memorable for me as the male stripper Private 69 is on the cover - I slept with him once in Spain! Memories.........)

No. It was a different song than "I Need A Man" by Grace Jones. The Katie Kissoon track is called "I Need A Man In My Life." One doesn't sound anything like the other, but both were great songs.

Also, remember back in the early 70's, Katie and her husband, Mac, had a bubble-gum type song out on ABC records called "Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep"!

Not sure if you guys are like me but when I buy a record/LP I always like to read the sleeve notes and to see who sang backing vocals etc...During the 80s the same names seemed to appear on HINRG productions as session singers... Shirley & Dee Lewis/Tracy Ackerman/Jackie Rawe/ - Katie Kissoon has also done quite a bit of background/session work for other artists
