High Energy by Evelyn Thomas and Miquel Brown So Many Men So Little Time bother sold over a millon copies in the States. But strangley didn't make the billboard charts. High Energy was also the biggest selling track in Europe in 1984.Those were the days.

That one didn't. If I remeber rightly, it scraped in at no.82 or something.
'He's a saint' got to no. 68 and 'Close to perfection' got to no.63. 'Black leather' got nowhere.

I remember reading an interview with pop singer Midge Ure in 1985 - He said that CLOSE TO PERFECTION was the worst song ever recorded !! - Bloody cheek !!! - Its a beautifully crafted track !

Eartha's Record Shack releases were just fabulous, but of course they did much better in Europe than in the UK..."Where Is My Man" was her only UK Top 40 hit from that era...reached about 33 if I remember rightly! :(

Yeah - Some great recordings by Eartha - I have the album on LP & CD... I also have the 12" singles including I DON`T CARE (French import) and the 1987 remix of ARABIAN SONG

I agree with "Sandra Dee" Primitive desire by Eastbound Expressway and All american boy by Barbara Pennington were my favourite Record Shack releases. So I have to vote for "caught in the act" which I always found it better than "high energy"

By the way, isthis is my life by Eartha Kitt released on Record Shack label?

You are totally correct Energy Guy, So many men and High energry sold millions worldwise, high energy selling 7 miilion copies in France alone. I 've seen the gold and Platinum discs for these tracks and there's lots of em.

I remember reading an interview with Miquel Brown - Apparantly she was the original choice to record HIGH ENERGY (as a follow up to SO MANY MEN...) But she had a bad car accident in the States and so it went to Evelyn Thomas instead....
