Default Jackie Quartz and Desireless

Hello again!

There was a point in the mid/late 80's that French dance/pop became quite popular over here wasn't there? My particular favourites were "A La Vie A L'amour" by Jackie Quartz and "Voyage Voyage" by Desireless...I recently just lost out on getting the Desireless album on CD on e-bay...curses!!! I even remember "Marcia Baila" by Rita Mitsouko being released over here in 1985...I bought it, but it got nowhere unfortunately!

The Jackie Quartz track was very good - I have the PWL remix on 12". Voyage Voyage also got the PWL treatment.

hi,
Indeed, A la vie a l'amour, is a good song for me also!
I finally bought it(0r better said - trade for it) yesterday and now I can enjoy in her maxi single! Did You know that exists Italo Disco version of "A la vie a l'amour"? It sounds much better than the regular version(ofcourse, for me) but this edition is also good!(I have Holand, 1987 Playing Music).
How 'bout another French(?) artist - Debut De Soiree - Nuit de folie? Also good song...

Ciao & regards,
Dario

What about France Gall 'Elle Ella'?

Was just about to say that!! There is also Qui Sommes Nous by Desireless which came out around 1989, and Elle Est Commes Les Etoiles.

Also Emotion by Jaki Quartz was a brilliant follow up to A La Vie A L'Amour, but didn't get released in the Uk.

I also have Jour de Neige by Elsa which is a great morning tune, as well as Caroline Loeb - C'est la Ouate in a similar vein

:D
