Easy love/Vikki Benson

I have been listening to the original version of EASY LOVE by VIKKI BENSON - A classic HINRG track that is one of my personal favourite tracks... I believe a remix was released in possibly 1986/87 ? -Can anyone confirm this and provide more details of the record label /remixer ??

I have it on Atlantic Records 0-86499, but don't have any other details handy. It had a house remix and dub, as I recall.

I have the Balearic Acid Remix of it, but I don't like it as much as the original mix.

I have the original release on vinyl and cd, but didn`t buy the Atlantic release (which was issued a few years later). The Atlantic 12" features a club, dub and remix version of "Easy Love" if I recall correctly. I know it won't surprise you a bit when I say that the producer and remixer was Ian Levine (does anyone disagree?). Hope this helps.

Yep - you are quite right. I managed to track it down - it was released here in th UK in 1988 on one of ians subsiduary labels and he did the production/remix work. Not so keen on that particular mix - much prefer the original.

From Discogs it looks like there were two different 12"s for "Easy Love" released in 1988:

Vicki Benson* - Easy Love

Vikki Benson - Easy Love (Balearic Acid Remix)

Though unfortunately they don't have the name of the remixer for the Balearic Acid Remix.

I had this on the pink label "electricity" label i think i lost it ages ago it was dated 1984, AANd did you know bucks fizz did a version of this on theyre 1982 album sung by the porky page three tart jay aston?...

As I recall the Balaeric remix did not get much play in the UK clubs..
