For me, "Souvenirs" is THE Voyage track. It is one of just a few select tracks that can actually transport you to another place and time once it starts playing. It's beautiful and ethereal. The lyrics are simple but they convey so much. An uncontestable classic.

And, it still sounds fresh today. Play it anytime, anywhere and feet will tap to the beat.

Yes i can't think of many tracks that have a more uplifting, joyous sound than 'Souvenirs'. However, as much as I love it I've never understood what they're singing about  ; does anyone have the lyrics?

Souvenirs are signs that take you away
Souvenirs will make you leave here today
For a world of joy and living
A world of love and giving away, far away

'Cause all we need is a world of dreams
Forgotten feelings come back in streams
Come join us. Don't hesitate
Just be yourself, be free, let's be free

Souvenirs will leave the day far behind
Souvenirs, your secret signs in the mind
In a world of love and givin', a world
Where joy of living we call paradise

Let's find a place with celebrations and songs
And souvenirs go along, let's keep on moving

We'll find a place with celebrations and dance
And souvenirs and romance
We'll keep on moving

Thanks alot swerzer. Actually most of the lyrics were as i thought but it seemed that they didn't make sense; oh well I'm not bothered 'cos lyrics aren't that important to me, it's the music that matters.

Totally agree with all the comments.....the song (for me) brings back such wonderful memories of days gone by. I used to mix "Souvenirs" into the last 2 minutes of "Gone With the Music" (last song on the same album), starting with the chorus "let's find a place with celebration..........". Very few people ever listened to the other track and didn't know it had the same ending as "Souvenirs"

I just ordered some stuff on Amazon Marketplace:
Best of and The First Album,
cause Voyage to me are one of the best Disco Acts.

Does somebody know about the quality of the
HOT Release of Lets fly away ?
Customers criticise that HOT did no good job on the CD
cause the Original "in-one-go" edit of the vinyl would not
be on the CD, titles just would fade out ... ??

I can't speak for the other releases, but I do have the "best of" that Hot Productions put out. Sound quality is actually quite good, but as it's a compilation, all the tracks fade out at the end as expected.

Thank you.

Are they all full length mixes ? I have bought HOT PRODUCTIONS cds before and sometimes they only contain the short versions..
