| In the "Tribal Rites" book there is a chapter on Magda Layna. Has anyone ever heard her version of "When Will I See You Again"? I have never heard of her or her version of the song. |

| Magda Layna's "When Will I See You Again" was pretty weak; I don't think we could give them away at Aloha. She was connected somehow to the in-crowd; I don't know how else she got a recording contract. Maybe she funded the project herself? I'm just guessin' !!!!!

| I think it helps to be connected to the Columbian Drug Cartel.

| A really nice cover of "When Will I See You Again" was done by The Dreamgirls in the early 1990's. It's on one of those Gay Happening CD's. Very tastefully done with synths and strong vocals, IMHO.

| Well, as far as I am concerned, I LOVE Magda Layna's version of this song. True, she's not the greatest singer in the world, but hey, she sings better than I do and that's what matters to me. The song itself is a bit weak musically, but that's mostly due to very generic beats. Fortunately, the synths are loud and Bill Motley did do a good job with the strings: very pretty and melodic. |

| I have the 12" and I remember it being very inexpensive (of course, I had the Adam Rush version of "Love Is In The Air", if anyone remembers THAT!) Also, I seem to recall a rumor running around that Magda was a guy; does anyone remember that? |
