Default what about italo disco in south america

hey guys im originaly from uruguay south america and in the early to mid 80s i went to various clubs that played italo disco i have always liked the group ivan maybe somebody remebers them they mostly sang in spanish but if anyone has other songs that were big in south america in the early 80s to say around 85 86 give me some feed back thanks

in fact i recently went back to visit and every year for one whole night from 9pm to 8am at a certain night club all they play is 80s classics alot of italo disco and others i think they call the party nostalgic night

Hi Caldera! I'm from Mar del Plata and now living in Buenos Aires, just across the river. For your post I guess you're living outside your country now. If you're getting nostalgic, just remember what Jaime Roos sang: "se olvida las que pasaba/antes de irse para allá" :)
I'm not so wise on Italo disco (I remember Gazebo's "I like Chopin") but I can pass some titles of disco songs made by Italian artists circa 1980-82:

-PINO D'ANGIO - Ma quale idea
-KANO - It's a war
-FIREFLY - Love is gonna be on your side (one of my favorite disco songs ever)

Hi,
there's a lot of italo disco stuff in the forum. Maybe you can research in the previous posts.
Anyway one of the most famous band from that age is BB&Q band, those of "On the beat".
That's one of the graetest italo-disco-tracks to me.
