 Was any disco, italo, or hi-nrg music made by women? One of my lesbian pals asked me if any women produced or created disco/italo/hi-nrg in the 70s or 80s, and I completely drew a blank. I couldn't think of any. Was there any "dance music" that was made by women?         |

| It depends if the music must be 100% female, but for the italodisco here are some women which have performed lots of vocals and certainly been working with the compositions too. Simona Zanini Clara Moroni Dora Carofiglio Ivana Spagna No female producer comes into my mind as well. |
